Im not getting brake fluid to the rear brakes,and i have a low pedal

Check The Hose Leading To The Brake Booster For A Leak. If Good Check The Check Valve To Make Sure It Working (Sucking In Air) If Good The Brake Booster Needs Replacement.

brake switch bad, system needs bled, rear brake circuit probably has air in fluid, fluid is no doubt contaminated, nobody addresses this maintainance problem, bleed entire brake system, replace all fluid w/ new. if fluid in the master cylinder is black, seals are bad, some brake systems have a pump as part of master cylinder, these pumps run off fuses , 25amp, etc., check what system you have. is your fluid level correct ? the switch I refer to is @ proportioning valve below master cylinder @ frame, see abs brakes use this valve to prevent skidding, rear brakes must come on first, before front brakes. if valve is not in balance a hard brake pedal occurs, as with low fluid levels. does your brake light come on ? @ dash. have a brake shop bleed your system, if there's a problem they'll find it for you, let them do it, don't wast your time.

You have a leaky brake line somewhere. You will need to find and repair it. If you don't see any lines that are wet, you may have to pull the rear brake drums to check the wheel cylinders. They can also start to leak but are not as likely as a line. If your truck is a standard it's possible that your hydraulic clutch uses the brake master cylinder as a resevoir so check that line as well. A soft pedal would suggest that isn't the problem but if the fluid was low enough air could get into the lines. Hope this helps.

start from the fartherest place from brake master cylinder, that will be the rear passenger side wheel. it takes two people to bleed brakes. you will find the bleeder valve screws at the top of inside of the rear drums on both rear wheels, have someone pump the brakes up, will take at least 4 pumps of brake pedal, at 4th pump keep pressure on pedal while you break loose the bleeder valve on the rear wheel, fluid will come out and brake pedal will go down to floor, keep pressure on brake pedal until you've tightened the bleeder screw back [note] you'll only have to back the bleeder valve out about a half turn until you see the fluid come out. after you've done the rear brakes add brake fluid to the master cylinder as it will be low. then go to the front passeger side and you will find the bleeder screw on the brake caliper. repeat the same proceedure as back. remember that pressure on the pedal is a must until you've tightened those bleeder valve screws back or else it will **** air into the brake system. suggest that you bleed all 4 wheels not just the back. after you've bled the front make sure you add more brake fluid back to the master cylinder, it will be low again. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

You need to check the brake fluid if it is low it will take air in the system,you need to take that air lock in order to get a better brake.

it may be that you your brake fluid is low. the only thing that the brake light indicates is when the parking brake is engaged or when the brake fluid is low. but im about 99% sure its gonna be the brake fluid.

You Must determine that Master Cylinder is NOT LEAKING into the Brake BOOSTER this is a Leak that CANNOT be Detected Easyly, If not Rear Brake SHOES Worn OUT Can CAUSE LOW Brake Pedal Problem

does it still brake when the pedal goes to the floor. my guess is it is leaking fluid out of the rear brake cylinder. the rear brake cylinders are in side the drums so you may not notice a leak there.i would take off both rear wheels and take the drums off and see if there is a leak out of the seal on the brake cylinder. that is a fairly common problem with all drum brakes and the cylinders are only about 12 bucks at napa.

Try using a pressure bleeder. It will force the air out. Works every time.

You may have a bad brake Booster and it could have brake fluid in it.
Also you may want to try a complete brake fluid flush.
