I've had a few Mercedes and I seem to remember they had a fusible link between the fuse box and battery. It is a metal strap that will open under excessively high current.

SOURCE: 2003 Jetta TDI alternator light came on in dash

Your voltage regulator supplies the path for the control lead of the alternator and varies the amount of current available to provide the magnetic field of the armature with the required strength. Measuring from this lead to ground won't show much voltage.
Apparently the regulator is not integrated into the alternator and is probably failed. If you can chase the control lead backward, you will find the regulator and these are mostly mounted on the fender well or firewall.

Wont charge, new battery and alternator

Is the battery symbol lit on the instrument cluster ? Check fuses F1.26 30amp in the battery junction box , fuse box near battery in the engine compartment . Also check F2.27 10amp fuse in the central junction box , inside passenger compartment under the dash . It won't charge without voltage on this fuses . Also the heavier gage wire on the back of the alternator should have battery voltage , 175 amp main fuse near battery connection .

Fuse box e220

he fuse is located in the Battery Junction Box, fuse F70 (10A). The Battery Junction Box is located in the engine compartment near the firewall on the drivers side of the vehicle. F70 is located in the end of the Battery Junction Box. I hope this helps. If I have answered your question to your satisfaction, please accept so that I will receive credit for it. All three auxiliary power power points (12V connectors) don't seem to be working.

Here is the information I have concerning the power points on your vehicle:

Fuse 15 Battery Junction Box (20 Amp) = rear power point
Fuse 17 Battery Junction Box (20 Amp) = console power point
Fuse 9 in Smart Junction Box = dash power point
Fuse 9 gets its power from fuse 29 - Battery Junction Box (80 Amp)
Fuses 15 and 17 above have direct battery connections.

Make sure you are looking in the correct fuse box for each fuse. The Battery Junction Box is under the hood. The Smart Junction Box is under the left side of the dash. The fuses may "look" ok and can still be blown. You need to test for power at the fuse with a test light. All of the fuses listed above should be HOT AT ALL TIMES - meaning, you do not have to turn on the ignition switch to get power to them.

Also, are you sure that all the power points are not working? or are you just trying the same piece of equipment in all 3 of them? If this is the case, the piece of equipment that you are pluging into them could be the problem instead of the power points. Since all 3 of the power points are on separate circuits, I think it very unlikely that all the fuses would be blown unless you have plugged a defective/shorted piece of equipment into all 3 of them. There is nothing else that could cause this that would make all 3 of them go out at the same time.

Radio windows and fuel read out stopped working

Check Fuse 2.3 (20 Amp). See electrical diagram below.

When it goes, it'll take out the audio and "Cluster and Panel Illumination."
(assuming your vehicle doesn't have an OEM Nav system - in which case fuse 2.3 would
supply power to the Nav system).

Fuse 2.3 is located in the CJB (Central Junction Box) - not the BJB (Battery Junction Box),
nor the AJB (Auxiliary Junction Box).

Also, check fuses F1.6 (60 Amp), and fuse F1.62 (30 Amp) in BJB (Battery Junction Box).
Also, check fuse F2.17 (15 Amp) and the "Accessory Delay Relay," both in the CJB (Central
Junction Box).

Here's the electrical diagram for 2005 Mercury Mountaineer Power Windows:
Note how fuses F1.6, F1.62, F2.17, and 'Accessory Delay Relay" will all
disable the power windows.
