SOURCE: How to program the keyless entry for my 1996 Acura TL.

Hi, Stacie,

here's the instructions for a 97 TL - I hope they're the same.

Note:
Entering the programming mode cancels all learned keyless remotes, so
none of the previously programmed remotes will work. You must reprogram
all of the keyless remotes once you are in the programming mode.
You must complete each step within 4 seconds of the previous step to keep
the system from exiting the programming mode. You must program remotes
within 10 seconds of each other

1. Turn ignition switch to ON (II)
2. Within 4 seconds press the LOCK or UNOCK button on one of the remotes.
(An unprogrammed remote can be used for this step.)

3. Within 4 seconds turn ignition switch to LOCK (0) position
4. Within 4 seconds turn the ignition switch to ON (II)
5. Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 two more times using the same keyless remote
used in step 2

6. Within 4 seconds press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the same remote.
Make sure the power door locks cycle to confirm you are in programming
mode.

7. Within 10 seconds press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on same remote.

8. Within 10 seconds press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on all other
remotes you want to program. Make sure door locks cycle after you push
each remote button to confirm system has accepted the remote.

9. Turn the igniton switch to LOCK (0) to exit programming mode.
10. Test remote(s)

Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: 96 acura tl 3.2l is overheating+signals wont work

Start with the easy one (hopefully). You probably have to replace your turn signal flasher. It's located behind the dash, driver side of steering column in the relay block (just pull out to remove).
Your overheating problem: Are you losing coolant, or is the car just running hot? Any leaks, puddles?
Check the cooling fans to make sure they are kicking on as the engine temp rises. If not, you may have a bad switch that is not telling the fan to go on. If fan(s) are operating ok, check the thermostat. If it isn't opening properly, it could be the cause of the overheating. If you have a leak in the system, then when it gets too low, it starts to overheat. Many possibilities, So, let me know the answers to the above so I can help further if needed.

SOURCE: 2006 Acura TL - power windows - Passenger window

most new acuras have what you call an anti pinch sensors which means when there is an extra load on the power window motor, it is picked up by a controll module and makes the window go back down ie, you get your fingers cought between the window and the door frame. sometimes this happnes by its self because either the window is off track and not going up stright thus putting extra load on the motor. or, the window runner track its self (which is mostly rubber) is mislodged. causing the window not to fully rest in the full up position.

I need to know the location of the crankshaft sensor on a 2010 Acura tl

Hi,

please look around the engine of your car. You can use a website like advanced auto parts to view what the object looks like and use this image during your search. If you can't find it, you can drive to your local advanced autoparts and let them locate it for you.

Thank you.

What wires are positive and ground for reverse lights on a 2003 oldsmobile bravada? Trying to hook up back up camera.

look under the car bonnet and confirm the black negative terminal is connected to the body of the car. Then the wire that lines up to the centre of the reverse globe would have to be positive. There may not be a negative wire on the globe it might use the car body to connect negative. otherwise the wire near the outer edge of the globe is going to be negative.
if no negative wire used then use an earth point on the body of car for camera negative wire.

I have a 2010 Acura TL I put it in neutral and push it in my garage and now when I try and start it it says SVA service I tried to disconnect the battery and reconnected it and it still doing the same...

You could try leaving the battery unplugged for 12 hours to try and get a full reset. Before reconnecting to the battery, carefully touch the metal on the positive and negative leads together (not on the battery, the leads together). In some cars it takes that to do a full reset. Then put the key in the ON position for a few minutes, then start. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid you are going to an Acura dealership so they can pull/reset the codes. Check to see if your brake lights and cruise control still work. These systems are related on that car.

Starter replacement on acura 2000 TL 3.2

This starter can be changed without disassembling the top of the engine on the 2.5 with automatic transmission. You will need a 10mm, 14 mm, 17mm, and a 9mm wrench. First with any electrical repair disconnect the battery at the negative terminal. The starter is on the driver's side close to the firewall below the intake manifold. Remove the transmission dip stick so you don't ruin it, then look and study the starter itself. You will notice the starter drive housing with a top and bottom bolt. The top bolt is a 14mm and the bottom a 17mm, loosen both a half turn. Remove the top 14mm bolt first, then the bottom 17mm, this will allow you to pull the starter out of the bell housing. With some angling and no brackets holding the back of the starter you should be able to pull it out enough to disconnect the positive wire and 9mm nut from the soleniod. Disconnect the starter ignition small wire by pulling it off it's connector. Now just pull it out of the engine and fender void and you've got it, saving about a hundred and fifty dollars of labor. Take it to the parts house and match it up with a well made remanufactured or new starter. Reverse the proceedure, hook up the battery.
