Most vehicles you remove the bottom cushion first by lifting the front of it up. Then remove 2 bolts that hold the back in place.

The seat will not stay up. It falls back when you lean on it

Sounds like you have a broken internal component in the seat/recliner section. Might have to remove seat from car and also disassemble the seat.

I need to remove the upper part of the back seat you would put your back against. Its a 1975 cutlass supreme. What holds the seat in place? Thanks Larry Loch

Remove the bottom seat, then there may be a bolt on each side of the bottom of the back seat, remove the bolts and lift the seat back straight up off hooks that hold the top of seat back against the body.

Cannot adjust seat back on drivers seat, Power seat with a manual back lever

The seat can be disassembles the problem is the cable came off the levers handle and the back part of the seat were the handle is mounted has to be opened up the get to the parts, overwheit or srongly pushing on the seat while trying to chnge the adjustment is the reason for failure. Mosst shops don't have the right mechanics to take aprt seats but an aporstry shop will be able to tackel the job they have the right tools and practice to do thei s kind of work.

Driver's side front seat won't move

It is likely the gear on the motor came off track with the seat. The seat will have to be removed and bottom panel disassembled.

Saturn vue 2007, rear folding seat will not return to proper position due to seat belt being locked up.

They have a problem with the seatbelt retractor getting jammed up causing the belt to jam & not let the rear seat fold back up.The easiest way to get the seat back up is to cut the seatbelt & fold up the seat. Then the rear seat needs to be disassembled to gain access to the seatbelt retractor assy which has the seat belt made on.Hopefully it's still under warranty or Ext. warranty.hope this helps

Power seat motor broken

Yhea you have to disassemble the entire seat and order a new base for it. We have repaired a few of them at the shop. I have had one just welded back together but it never sits quite the way it used to.
