Maybe corroded connection on the ECU which is on the right front passenger wheel arch.

Sounds like your ECM is bad, if you have no check engine light on your dash when trying to start. Have it checked.

Try replacing the camshaft position sensor usually solves the problem.

My ex -husband stole my 4 runner and disabled it I think he took fuses. this is what it does, it will crank but not turn all the way over, and it will not go into any gear I counld not even go to nuetral "someone PLEASE help me I am Trying to go home and he knows I can't leave any other way another method of control

2002 xtype jaguar engine won't crank over

they all can do that and all for the same reasons (2007 + cars are diffr)
so does it crank with jumper cable to a good running car battery?
called jumper starts> cranks?
this solves the battery issue,
is battery at 12.6vdc, if not its discharged, so charge it.?
if car has an Immoblizer option, now is time to say that.
and its light in the dash not yelling, IM UNHAPPY.

2001 jaguar s-type won't crank battery new and charged. Turn the ignition car won't make a sound

many things will cause no start problems could have faulty ignition switch.use test light see if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.code scan for faulty theft security system which will also cause no start conditions.

What year and engine size is this 2008 jaguar x type?

Are you sure the battery is good, did you have it tested, next if battery is good and you can see bright headlights when you turn them on then i would look at the fuses, if you jump started it you may have blown a fuse.

when you say no ignition what do you mean? are the dash lights coming on when you turn the key?

Is the problem that you have no knd of power to car or every thing lights up but nothing happens when you try to crank engine, or does engine crank (SPIN OVER) but not start up ?

Do you see a light anywhere on the dash that says SECURITY? This means that the anti theft system is shutting down your injectors. Very common on GM vehicles. If so, check out this link.

Sounds like your ECM is bad, if you have no check engine light on your dash when trying to start. Have it checked.
