Not from up top inside the car if it's frozen.

Sounds like it's been engaged quiet tight. So start the vehicle try depressing the release button and lifting up firmly instead of trying to immediately push downward on it to release.

Do that while lightly easing the vehicle in reverse if parked downhill to take pressure of the brake or in drive if parked uphill.

2005 is relatively new and I don't presume the cable has frozen nor snapped in the engaged position.

It's common when the brake has been engaged on a steep incline and drifted forward or the wheels curbed quiet snugly to avert rolling.

How do i override the parking brake on a 1993 F700

To override the parking brake on a 1993 F700, you will need to disengage the brake manually. Here are the steps to follow:
  1. Locate the parking brake lever inside the cab of the vehicle. It is typically located near the driver's seat, on the floor or the dashboard.
  2. Pull the parking brake lever up to the fully engaged position. This will disengage the brake and allow you to move the vehicle.
  3. Start the engine and shift the vehicle into gear.
  4. Slowly release the parking brake lever, allowing the brake to engage gradually. Do not release the lever too quickly, as this can cause the vehicle to lurch or jerk.
  5. Slowly drive the vehicle, testing the brakes to make sure they are working properly. If you experience any problems or issues with the brakes, you may need to have them checked or repaired by a qualified mechanic.
Overall, to override the parking brake on a 1993 F700, you will need to disengage the brake manually by pulling up on the parking brake lever and releasing it gradually. Make sure to test the brakes before driving the vehicle to ensure they are functioning properly.

My xc90 volvo shifter is stuck in park, what can i do

Check your owners manual, most have a way to override the park lock out system. Also check your brake lights, if they are not working the part lock will not disengage.

What happens when I drive with the parking break on in my xc90

You wear out your brake shoes, stretch your brake cable, and cause damage to your drums/rotors if driven too long, you also can damage your clutch and if the tires lock up you can cause uneven wear and/or flat spots while possibly losing control of your car.

My 2003 volvo s60 gear shift will not move. The car turns on but when I try to pull it out of park it is stuck and does nothing.

There is a solenoid that release the PArk lever when the Brake is pressed. Look under the console to check the wire from the brake to the console, first, then next shop is a shop.
Some times they can just get stuck to so try giving quick little vibrations with the brake pressed (not to hard) the shifter lever.
Also make sure your break lights come on when the brake is pressed to ensure you have a proper connection there also.

Parking brake release

There should be a manual release. Reach up along the parking brake pedal. Ford has a manual lever that you pull toward yourself to release the parking brake. Hope this helps our with your problem. Best of luck.
