SOURCE: Does a 2015 elantra have a fuel cut off switch hit a pot hole car died wont start fuel pump whines cranks no start

If you hear the fuel pump whine there is no fuel cut off switch .Your best bet , have a qualified repair shop check it out . You have no clue how to diagnose . Looking at wiring diagrams to see what all is involved in the fuel , ignition systems , checking to see if there is spark at the spark plug's , checking fuel pressure . So do yourself a favor . Takes special tools an service repair information to diagnose newer electronicaly controlled automobiles .

How do I start a car that shows a padlock and security lock

According to ciddguy: "This car comes standard with an immobilizer unit and a light that comes on when you start the car and remains on during the bulb check and would flash if it indicated you have an improperly coded key and would then shut off the car within 2 seconds but if you have the right key, will go out like normal and let the car continue to run. That same light is also used for the alarm (when equipped) and when you shut off the car and hit the lock button, it'll flash rapidly for several seconds before slowing "blinking mode to indicate the car is armed. That same indicator if found solidly lit is an indicator that someone has attempted to make an unlawful entry and thus the alarm has been activated and as said in the comment above, the EVIC should've said something about unlawful attempted in the display when you get in". Another guy said, "If you read in the middle of the evic it would have read "Break in attempt" that's what happens when the alarm goes off, just turn the car off and turn it back on again :)"

I can't start my 1995 hyundai elantra after forgetting to turn off the lights when going for class. I try to jump start it but the car won't start and all the lights keep on flashing and flick

After connecting battery, try using key in drivers door to lock, and /or unlock. Try passenger if that doesn't work, as well as valet key if it came with one.

How can you tell your a/c is ready to replace it`s coolant gas? My 2007 elantra particularly on a hot day doesn`t send cold cold air at the coldest level indicator It is cool but would that indicate the...

To tell if the ac coolant requires replacement the car will not cool when the sun is out and at all time you might have to put the car ac in coolest to enable a little bit of cold air.

Also the back seat will not be cool except the car is running on the highway.

Gas might be leaking somewhere.

Good luck

2005 hyundai accent 1.6L. car won't start

Hyundai TSB 08-BE-012

PROCEDURE:
1. For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons, releasing
only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds.
NOTE: Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink buttons.
2. Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink mirror,
keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.
3. Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button
and the hand held transmitter button.
DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly.
When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. The rapid
flashing indicates successful training and the procedure is complete. This also
indicates that the garage door opener does not use rolling code technology.
Note: The garage door may open or close during this step.
Steps 4 through 7 are only necessary if the HomeLink button appears to be
transmitting after step 3, but the garage door does not operate.
4. Press and hold the trained HomeLink button and observe the indicator light.
If the indicator light is solid/continuous, training is complete and your device should
activate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released.
If the indicator light blinks rapidly for 2 seconds and then turns a solid/continuous light,
proceed with the following training instructions for a rolling code device. A second
person may make the following steps quicker and easier. It is recommended that a
ladder or similar device be used to obtain access to the motor housing. Do not stand
on the vehicle to perform the next steps.
5. At the garage door opener receiver (motor housing) in the garage, locate the “learn”
or “smart” button (usually near the hanging antenna wire attached to the unit). If
there is difficulty locating the training button, refer to the garage door opener’s
manual.
6. Press and release the “learn” or “smart” button (the name and color of the button
may vary by manufacturer).
NOTE: Once the button is pressed, there are 30 seconds in which to initiate the
next step.

7. Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink button for two
seconds and release. Repeat the “press/hold/release” sequence up to 3 times to
complete the training process. If successful, your garage door should open or close
during this step.
If the vehicle owner continues to have difficulty programming their HomeLink mirror,
please have them contact HomeLink customer service directly at 1-800-355-3515 or
www.homelink.com for further assistance.
PROCEDURE COMPLETE

Good luck!

Most common problem is drinks spilling into the computer which is right between the cup holder. It will eventually cause a problem with a/c most likely.
