Depends on the model, if it is all wheel drive it should have AWD on the back window.
The Honda CRV uses very smart technology to have AWD. Let me explain it simply. The CRV is essentially a front wheel drive car, but there are sensors mounted on all the tires that sense slipping. If the computer determines the wheel is spinning faster than the other ones, it uses hydraulics to engage the rear end differential and presto..All Wheel Drive. You do nothing, no switches, no levers, the computer does it all for you. If it is indeed AWD, you can look under the car to see if you have a driveshaft going into the rear differential (axle)

your crv has what is called real time 4 wheel drive it does not stay on and you have no control over when it is used, the vehicle sensors send power where it is needed

how can you turn the steering wheel to lock position while in drive? did it actually click in lock positon while in drive?

call the service hotline number on you owners manual for honda usa and see what they recomend. you might try to locate the fuse for your electronic all wheel drive and remove it and see if it is smoother to drive. any shaking shows signs of a unbalanced drivetrain which is not good for the conponents.

Sounds crazy, but you may have way too much air pressure in the front tires. IIRC, the tire manufacturer calls for about 36 lbs of pressure, but the little sticker on the B pillar of the drivers side says something like 26 lbs.

If you're over-inflated, the wheels may be slipping upon hard acceleration, causing the movement "to the side" that you are experiencing. Then, the back wheel(s) attempt to grip, and that corrects the "slide".

It's a real funky AWD system, and most of the time the back wheels do absolutely nothing...
