Look for a fuse/relay block under the hood. The cover for this may show locations of fuses and relays inside the block. If not, try google search for same.

SOURCE: wwher is the fuel pump relay fuse located?

there are two fuse locations, under the dash by your left foot, and under the hood behind the passenger side headlight.

Your question is really NOT that easy to answer, there is no stock location for a "fuel pump relay" fuse, the fuel pump is powered by power coming from the MFI relay.

Fuse #1 under the hood supports the MFI relay as do fuses 1 and 12 under the dash. Check all three.

There are reasons a fuel pump won't start that are not related to the fuse... if you check them and determine that the fuses are not blown, with the ignition turned to the on position, try powering the fuel pump test jack, if your fuel pump comes on, it is something else (probably a bad cam/crank sensor)

To power the test jack, run a test wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the connector stuffed down behind the passenger side strut tower between the strut tower and the fire wall. It should be a black connector connected to a single black wire with a BLUE stripe. There will be three connectors bundled together, a black one, a blue one, and a round brown one (the round one is for setting timing and the blue is for setting idle, do NOT mess with them)

When you power the test connector, the fuel pump should come on, regardless of the MFI relay or the fuses... if it does not, you need a new fuel pump.

Cheers,
Scott

SOURCE: I don't here the fuel pump ever kick on in my 1990 Ford F150, and I tested all of the fuses and they are good. I was thinking the relay for the fuel pump might be bad -- any suggestions?

It's under your hood, in one of those boxes, and should be marked. Your pump won't cut in if it's fried either. Check to see if there is power at the pump. Maybe you just have a loose wire. You can always hope!

SOURCE: Need to find the location of the fuel pump relay

The relay is in the fuse box under the hood. It's labeled under  the cover of the fuse box lid, it's a micro relay and i think it's #18 and the injector, fuel pump is #48. Double check that though, good luck and keep me posted.

SOURCE: fuel pump fuse in wiring location

the fuel pump fuse is in one of the fuse boxes. there are 2 one in the car and the other under the hood.
when the key is turned to ignition, you should hear the pump turn on in the tank for a couple seconds.
with the key in the ignition setting, have someone bang on the fuel tank with a 2 by 4 . if the pump is bad,it may start up and run.

2006 Mercury Montego Premier wont start fuel pump pumping sprayed some starting fluid it started but didn't stay crank

If you sprayed starting fluid in the throttle body and it started it’s not getting gas. How did u determine the fuel pump is pumping? If you can hear it turn on then you need to make sure your not outta gas. But as Robert said above, I would check the fuse and the fuel pump relay first but again if yuh hear the fuel pump the fuse and the relay is working. If it starts with starting fluid tho it’s definately not getting gas

04 rodeo no start no codes changed brain, changed fuel relay and pump, checked module on top of engine, turn over but no start,no antitheft and v6

Please stop replacing parts it costs money!
Go get a timing light to see if you have spark if you do not it is a bad ignition module.
to check your fuel pump connect a fuel pressure guage to the engine fuel injector rail and turn over the engine the pressure should be: 40 to 60 psi.

05 c240 turns over won't start

most likely you have a bad crank sensor or fuel problem you need to check fuel pressure ,if you have enough pressure ,most likely you need crank position sensor,if you don`t have fuel pressure ,it might be your fuel pump relay or the pump, i would start with the relay first very unexpensive. you can also hear the pump if it`s working by cranking the engine and listening rear of the car for a humming sound .
good luck

Replaced starter on my 04 dodge stratus and still cranks but still doesnt start what else can be the problem

numerous reasons: Check for blown fuses for the ECU- the brains of the car. Next try replacing the fuel filter (not likely). Next- fuel pump relay-Turn on ignition but don't try to start, listen for a humming sound from the gas tank, pump should run for about 2 seconds then stop, if it does this you can rule out the fuel pump relay, if not change out the relay and try above again, if still no humming then the pump it self might be bad. This I think is the only check you can do without specialized tools
Crankshaft position sensor mechanic will have to check this.
There is a sensor that watches your oil level-might be bad

I replaced fuel pump and fuel filter but car still wont start. it will only crank if i keep putting starting fluid in it. what would be the problem?

bad fuel pump, loose wiring, blown fuse, or bad fuel pump relay. don't think just because a fuel pump is brand new out of the box it's good. i got an A/C delco fuel pump, installed it in the customers truck tried to start it .... nothing. checked all wiring, grounds, fuse, relay etc. everything was good. pulled the pump back out of the tank and wired it direct to a battery and it did nothing. got another pump installed worked just fine.

Dodge caravan turns over wont start all lights work

possible bad fuel pump. check fuel pump relay under hood. drivers side fuse panel. swap fuel pump relay with another identical relay to rule out possible bad relay. listen for whining sound back by fuel tank. the fuel pump is in the fuel tank. Another option....you can also check the pressure in the fuel rail, but be careful not to squirt gas in your eyes or face.

Crank but wont star

it sounds like your fuel pump is bad. if you run a 12 volt wire directly to the positive side of your fuel pump and it doesnt turn on then your pump is bad. if it does it may be a relay.
