SOURCE: electric seats will only go one way

You need to check for power at the motor when you try to activate the switch. If there's power then you have a drive cable issue. If this is a manual seat then the problem is the actuator assembly itself, the cable, mechanism, etc. Remove the seat & take a good look at it. You'll see a problem, write back.

SOURCE: The recline on my power seat stopped working

I just bought a 2005 Nissan Altima that had the same problem. The motor was fine. I opened the switch and found that a trace on the small circuit board was cut/missing. I soldered it on the spot and it solved the problem. You can access the switch by carefully prying off the switch buttons, then the plate. There are two screws that must be removed so that you can pull the switch assembly out of the seat.

SOURCE: The electric front seats both stopped moving

Check the fuse box for a blown fuse, both seats may operate on one fuse depending on the model of vehicle and the fuse may be located either under the dash on the drivers side or in the engine compartment on the drivers side.

SOURCE: My front seat will not move forward. It will

You can move the drivers seat back by turning on the power, getting in the seat and position your feet firmly on the fron flor with your back firmly against he seatback, and then engage the switch pushing back - while pushing like hell with your feet. You can actually hear the seat drive shaft turning while the seat moves back. The principle should be the same for moving forward, but pressure would have to be aplide to the back of the seat.

2011 gmc terrain power seat wont recline up

All of the functions on the seat are controlled by "one" fuse. Forward, back, up, down and recline, If one is inop. The whole seat bottom needs to be replaced. Now if you hear an audible bump noise when you rapidly flip the recline switch back and forth, you may be able to free it up by working it and see if that helps to free it up for sometime. When those motors sit in one position day after day month after month without being moved, they tend to "stick" but if you can't get it to free. The bottom of the seat will need to be replaced. Those are not cheap by no means and it would be a good idea to let a professional do it unless you are up to figuring out where all the brackets and nuts and bolts go and the proper wire routing because it is very tedious work. Not trying to scare you from doing the job but just stating a fact. But I hope you get the issue corrected. Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV) :o)

How to remove drivers side seat 1999 chevy malibu

Usually configuration on any seat. Slide seat all the way back and take out 2 front bolts. Sometimes the bolts are covered with a plastic cover that needs to be removed. Slide seat all the way forward the remove the 2 back bolts. Then I usually tilt the seat backwards and unhook any wires underneath. Carefully lift seat out of the vehicle being careful not to scratch the car.

2001 Durango front drivers power seat lost power and what move what is the problem?

If the seat has recline and forward, backward controls and you can do nothing at all. Then I would say you may have blown a fuse. I would check the fuse box. If you lost only recline or only forward & backward then it may be a bad motor. It can also be a motor if you lost both but both motors going bad at the same time is unlikely.

Chevy Malibu power adjustable driver's seat stuck

If the seat is not moving forward or backward, but you do hear a click or a motorsound- chances are that you dropped in some change or other debris may be blockling the way. You might also have blown a fuse - look for fuse no. 30, which is a 30 Amp fuse.
Once you've checked all that and if the motor still does not run, then the problem may be with your wiring.
Wire colors between the switch panel and motor are:
• Fore/aft-Tan and Lt Green
• Front up/down-Dark Green and Dark Blue
• Rear up/down-Yellow and Light Blue
• Recline up/down motor's Blue and Light Green

Broken power seat - cannot slide backward. Can I slide it manually?

Ck for debri or other objwcts in way of tracks Does it try to move? If so, there is an obstruction, If not trying or no sound when switch is moved, could very well be a fuse or the forward limit switch is being affected by excess forward travel. Move the switch yo back and without kinda help it. if it's trying.
