If its not opening its not the fuse if the other doors open. it will be the solenoid in the lock needs replacing if the manual release is not working you will have to try and remove the boot cover from the inside as best as you can. and push the pin over so you can unlock the boot. think its just to the left of the lock so from the inside looking out its on the right side.

I f it is like the XJR, the cig lighter is electrically switched and will not work. Find the hot point and and ground in the passenger side heelboard. The ground is two wires together scewed to the body an the hot point was a bolt attacted to a large wire and covered with a black rubber boot.

Hello, you could pick up one of those little containers of lock deicer and lubricant and spray it in the key lock. From the description the key lock works intermetiatly. After you put the spray in work the key in and out a few times and work at turning the lock. While your trying to turn the key try moving it in and out slightly. Your key lock might just be freezing up from lack of use.

SOURCE: my trunk on my xj6 wont open at all.
The last Jaguar on which I corrected this problem had a nut loosen on the lock mechanism. I took out the rear seat and then the parcel shelf covering and then cut an access hole into the trunk.
That was a 1987 XJ6. I am not certain that you have similar access due to fuel tank location. If you take this on, be aware of that possibility.

There are two relays in the front of the air filter housing, by the driver head light. two are for the wipers, 1 is for turned on and off, and the other one is for fast or slow speed. but you will have to check your fuses first in the engine driver side bay. hope you can fix it
