Hi. Do you mean System or Symptom? Please write back and provide in detail, what the issue is. Is this a crank no start or no crank while starting? Also provide year, make, and model. There are many systems that can cause a no start failure. The ECM/PCM, Fuel system, ignition system, Security system or bad wires, battery cable/s and connections can all suspected. If the engine light has been turning on and off or is on or flashing, let me know. If the engine light has been coming on or is on please have the codes read and forward them as well.

hi, check for air geting in to the fuel line... the incolor fuel pipe imediately after the fuel filter (if u see air bubles means the air getting some how...vaseline is good to cover all the joints, i've dun it last spring and is good so far) ...if is not that u should change the air mass sensor (common problem with tdi's)...i've had same problem...now ok

you either have a bad key...did you try more than one key?
Two other things can be wrong..
1) the igintion cylnder (where ya put the key in) has samll wires that sense the pellet in the keys for your car, and often they break, and the cylnder has to be replaced.
2) the passkey module has gone bad.
Either of these problems can be fixed by any compatent mechanic that has cadillac experience.

You either have a loose connection at the starter, or loose battery terminal.
You'd be surprised how many calls I got about your problem, and all it was, was a loose battery terminal.
Also, tap on the started itself...or the starter relay (under-hood, driver's side...in Electrical Center Box.)

Try to change the MAP sensor...to check if it is defective, when the engine does not start, knock the sensor with minimal force then start the engine. If it starts, then change the MAP sensor..Located over the throtle body...
