So to clarify- what lights do not work?
All rear lights on the right and only the brakes on the left?

Sorry for the confusion. The reverse lights are not installed yet. All other lights work except the back Tail lights which are in the same brand new bulb of the brake lights. I’m gonna get the reverse lights and see if that’s the issue. I’ll update later.

Issue fixed. Wrong brake lights were installed.

So your taillights should have 2 bulbs in them. 1 that turns on when you turn your lights on and stays on until you turn them off. That same bulb should have a 2nd circuit that lights up when you press on your brakes. The 2nd bulb appears when your reverse gear is engaged. So if you have no lights on right you have to replace both bulbs and if you have no brake light on the left you just have to replace your rear brake light bulb.

Guys/Girls the issue was a human one. The young very young gentleman at Advanced Auto helped me put the new brake lights in but he put or we put the reverse lights in the brake light socket. I went and looked at the bulb we put in yesterday and SOB It had one light instead of the two lights in one bulb. I thought is it really that and yes it was. Thank you all for the help. I mean that not just saying it.

Brake lights could be brake pedal switch. Tail light and blinker could be bad bulb.

SOURCE: Right tail light not working when pressing brake w/ lights on.

There should be at least 2 bulbs in the light assembly. One light is the light that is on when you turn on your headlights with out the brake pressed, the other light only lights up while you press on the brake. Make sure you are replacing the correct bulb. You may have been replacing the bulb that stays on. Your lights may be set up to turn off the light that stays on when the headlights are on while pressing the brakes.

change the brake light switch ,or rewire the whole lot to europeon standard where its all seperate.Stupid american idea where the brake light is used as the indicator as well.Had a few like this to import and had to rewire the whole rear back lights as their is some fancy brake light switch on these cars with a whole lot of wires .i just cut the whole bunch and rewired the lot as our regulations do not permit this type of concoction.best of british with it though as although its not difficult to do its amazing how many so called mechanics run when they more than two wires

I have a 2000 BMW z3 that the brake light doesn't turn off while running. I've removed the wire off the switch but still on. The right hand signal flashes fast when lights are on.

Usually if my right blinker is flashing fast it means one of my right blinkers is not working either front or back right side. Not sure but I know every vehicle I have ever had was like that. One blinders not working the other flashes fast, on the dash also.
This post he repaired the problem it was the light switch.

Changed fuses fow tow connector. #3 and # 7. Now the left trailer light, signal, brake, etc works while only right tail light on trailer still works. On right side, the tail works, but not the brake,or...

I would recommend taking out the tail light. Get a test light, have an assantant step on brake. U will see the bulb in tailamp light up. Probe the wire w/your test lamp. That is brake wire. Repeat that process for blinker.. Drop down those two wires. Hook that to the same side on trailor. Repeat for left and you should be all set.

It does sound as though the trailer connection is the source of the problem, check to see if the wiring has been resting on the exhaust pipe and melted through, shorting the wires. Also check if it is squashed or damaged anywhere. Failing this you may have to pull the trailer connector apart and see if the wires have come out inside and are touching, this can happen if the trailer connector is pulled hard.
