well if the ohm's are showing OK, then you may actually have a more serious problem, it is never good that the voltage light is on or stays on.

my suggestion is to take it up to autozone and tell them you want a trouble code done.

This is free and it will tell you exactly what is wrong....

Read your owners manual. Fuses are located under the drivers side of the instrument panel. The Power distribution box located under the hood next to the battery also contains fuses. Under the covers is listed what each fuse is for.

Ford use to put a fuse-able link at the battery end of the cable that feeds the fuse box, these were replaced with maxi fuses, again mounted near the battery, sometimes in a plastic box. If everything has gone off that sounds like the problem.

YOU HAVE TO DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE BUT FIRST TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE DISCONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.TELL ME WHAT SIZE MEGA FUSE YOU REPLACING 40 AMP FUSE IN FUSE BOX..FORD CARRIES MEGA FUSE 175 AMP FUSE A MEGE FUSE DOES SAME JOB FUSE LINK.YOU NEED TO REPLACE FUSE LINK.FUSE LINK IS HEAVY GAUGE WIRES TWISTED TOGETHER THEN USE ROSIN CORE SOLDER AND SOLDER WIRES TOGETHER.WRAP A LOT OF ELECTRIC TAPE AROUND SOLDER WIRES TO KEEP FROM GROUNDING STARTING A ELECTRICAL FIRE. FUSE LINK LOCATED IN THE WIRE FROM THE BATTERY TO THE ALTERNATOR YOU WILL SEE WORDS FUSE LINK ON THE LINK.

Changed alternator,battery and still won't keep battery charged

CHECK ALTERNATOR 175 AMP MEGA FUSE. AND CHECK ALTERNATOR 20 AMP INLINE FUSE.IF FUSES OKAY.REPLACE BATTERY CABLES AND CHECK ALTERNATOR BATTERY FEED WIRE AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR WIRES FOR DAMAGE.AND CHECK DRIVE TENSION.MAKE SURE DRIVE BELT NOT DAMAGE OR SLIPPING.

I need to replace the fuse for my turn signal on my 2001 ford tarus. but the fuse box diagram is missing.

Well, you can pull every fuse out and look at it, or go to a department store or parts place, and get a test light, for a few bucks. Put one side of the tester on ground, with the clip. Then turn the car to the on position, but not start. On each fuse, there are 2 metal contacts, touch each side with the tester. The bad fuse will only light with one side. What is it doing to make you think it is a fuse?

I have a 2001 saab 93 and battery will need a jump in the morning but battery is new. I found a small fuse box next to the battery with 4 60amp mega fuses in it and when I remove the 1st 2 fuses the battery will be ok in the morning? can someone help

check to see if there is power at the light green/red wire at the alt. If the is no power check the thirty amp fuse in the engine comp fuse box for the alt.
