Could be simplest thing as a fuse. Then again it could be the cables that go to the instruments panel. Some actually fall apart and it's common in some models of cars. It requires taking whole dash apart... Which if you have air bags--I DON'T ADVISE THAT YOU DO IT... You can see if you get any codes from any auto store for free if will read... If not fuses, talk to a mechanic who does dash work...
