You will need to remove the tires for the rims, remove the sensors and have the tires replaced and rebalanced. You then need to remove the fuse that controls the tire sensor system. If it is on a common fuse with other functions you will need an electrical wiring diagram so you can locate the correct wire and cut it. Is this really worth all the trouble.

    Saves the hassle of annoying alarms going off every time you drop the tires pressures, not mention flashing warning lights on the dash.

drop the fuel tank and check the pump. if you cant, then you can check the wires for the pump.

Remove drive shaft,remove crossmember under transmission.Remove transmission and diconnect linkage.Remove bell housing,and clutch berring assembely.Remove bolts on pressure plate.Once this is done.Remove fly wheel for machineing.you will need a pilot shaft to alighn clutch assemblely.Possible one will come with new clutch and pressure plate.Reverse assemblely in same order remember to torque all your bolts with torque wrench.Take your time.

In the front of the hood latch ( to the left and right of the unit) there are two mounting screws that actually hold the hood latch piece together. If those screws are loosened the latch can be moved left and right. Align the latch piece to the hood to make sure the hood catches.As long as the latch itself will work by pushing it down this works and it also helps with tight tension issue on the pull chord from inside of the cab.

28 psi minimum but to stop the edges wearing prematurely,inflate to 34 psi and the tyres will wear better,as long as your happy with the ride...shouldnt be too firm

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward all the way just before cranking. Then within 5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the valet/overide button, found under the dash area, (push button, spring loaded)until the installed LED (the blinking light) in your dash area goes on solid, and the siren chirps once (your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type. in this case, key on, flip switch in opposite direction, then turn the key off.).

This should reset the alarm, and resetthe grounded relay on the starter wire, allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would be the keyless entry from the alarm, if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place itback to usable armed mode. You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,and the lights may flash twice as well. That should do it.

The most common cause is too much pressure in the crankcase. It could be bad piston rings, or a problem with the PCV system. The engine is supposed to draw fumes from the crankcase into the intake and burn them, but the intake may be getting real oil instead of just fumes.

In most cases you will have to drill it.
There are videos on Youtube that show how its done.
Most all Ford locks in the late 80s and early 90s are the same style.

A guy just told me that there is a internal fuel pump and a external fuel pump on my 1988 ford ranger xlt 2.9 4x4. is this true?

In some applications, yes there is two.


On the 2.3L and the 2.9L engines to model year 1988 the electric fuel pump system used on these EFI engines consisted of two fuel pumps: a low pressure boost pump mounted in the fuel tank, and a high pressure fuel pump mounted on the frame rail.
The low pressure electric fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and is a part of the fuel gauge sending unit.
