Is there an icon that I need to tap on to activate parking assist on my GLC300 .

Read your Manuel. You can turn parking assist on and off. On some cars you have to scroll through the radio menu to find it . On others it is on the digital screen scroll stalk.

Four wheel drive actuator may me at fault, try park the truck on a slick surface like wet grass, set it in neutral and activate 4hi and 4lo back to 2wd a few times, if doesn't help try tapping on motor actuator located on transfer case while someone activates selector, park surface must be as level as possible, a good tip is to activate your four wheel drive once every few months to avoid it freezing up.If nothing helps then it needs to be diagnos by a tech. good luck

That icon is telling you that one of your taillamp or your brake light bulbs is burnt out. All you need to do is turn on the parking lights, and check to see if they all work. Then, have someone press the brakes whilst you observe the operation of the brake lights; also note to see if the brake light in the back window is working. Once you replace the burnt out bulb, the icon will reset itself, and will stay out.

does electric pump on bottom of washer reservoir run when activated? if it does try blowing through tubes to it and to bonnet squirters.if these squirters are blocked,just use a pin to clear. if motor is silent try tapping it with something while someone activates it.it may be just frozen from lack of use. can check fuse but these usually only blow if electric motor on pump shorts out or seizes

This light can be caused by your parking being on. If not, it's most likely caused by low brake fluid. Check the fluid level under the hood and fill it up if needed. If that doesn't get rid of the light, you should have it towed to a dealer and don't drive as your brakes may fail at any moment without notice

I had this situation too, exactly. Everybody told me it was probably a rear bumper sensor gone bad, but at least in my case, no such luck. It was the Park Assist Module, basically the control computer for the whole system. A new one fixed it, but was about $300.
