Indicates a rusted out welsh plug at the rear/side of the block or head
if that is the case , cheap parts , costly labor

Testimonial: "Thanks Bill is there a way to test it to know for sure before they start the expensive labor?"

take it to a radiator shop and have a cooling system pressure test done
the water will leak/squirt out of any holes
make sure that you are in fact loosing coolant as there is an ac drain hose in that vicinity

How do you check the transmission fluid level on a 1991 Mazda 323 with a manual transmission?

U need to check if transmission oil or gear oil is needed for ur manual trans try to locate a dipstick normally on d top part of the trans otherwise look for threaded plug again on the upper sides of d trans and ur level would be reached when oil start dripping out of the plug hole in that case no need to fill. How do I fix lighter fuse in 2005 Lexus ES330?

under the controls for the side view mirrors, behind the coin holder cup. open the coin cup & pull up on the cup until it pops out of place. on the back of the coin cup is the fuse diagram. its the "cig" on the 3rd column, top row, "15a". there are some spare fuses under the hood. open the hood & its on the right of the engine in the black box that's about 10in by 4in big. open the cover & look at the fuse diagram & look for the spares on the top right.

How to install front & rear side marker lights on a lexus is 300

Accessing a Lexus Side Marker LightIt's actually not as difficult as it seems.
Look in the fender liner area (where the wheel wheel is) and you will see the screws that hold the liner in place.
Once you remove the bottom screws (or be it the screws that hold the edges of the fender liner), you can carefully pull it back a bit to expose the bulb and socket. To remove the socket turn it counter clockwise until you can pull it out. To reinstall the socket turn it clockwise until it locks in place
Carefully remove the bulb from the socket and replace with same type. To remove the bulb pull it straight out. Push the new bulb straight in. The bulb is a 194 5w bulb.
Note: most of the time the reason the bulbs are burning out in the bumper is due to water getting in behind the lens and not being able to drain.
What I have done is use a Dremmel tool to carfully drill a very small hole along the bottom of the lens to allow the water to drain. Another option is if you have clear silicone you can suirt some around the outside of the lens. This will prevent water from getting in. However, if there is already water in the lens you will have to drain the water first. To drain the water use a ratchet wrench and unscrew the nut that holds the lens to the bumper.
In severe cases of corroded sockets you might have to replace the socket where the bulb goes into.

Trans-axle fluid leak

checking the transmission fluid involves lifting the vehicle and removing a plug on the transmission, it is quite difficult and messy if you don't have access to a lift, the vehicle has to be level and at operating temperature in park, there is a small plug on the side of the transmission near the passenger axle shaft. remove the plug slowly, i believe it is an 11mm bolt, if fluid drips out, the level is ok, if no fluid comes out, there is a small plastic screw on cap on top of the transmission itself on the driverside near the oil filter cap, add fluid slowly untill fluid starts to drip out of the plug hole, once the fluid starts to drip, insert the plug and tighten, don't overtighten, just snug it up.!!!make sure you use the right fluid, this is important!!! i believe your fluid is dextron 6, double check in your owners manual, the use of any other fluid will cause damage!!! also, do not remove the small plug on the front of the transmission, that is the pressure plug, all the fluid will shoot out with force if that plug is removed!!!

Do I need to change the transmission fluid in a 2005 Honda Odyssey?

Hello rsl4god.....Yes indeed without doubt... you should change transmission fluid regularly using only original Honda transmission fluid. This is a simple drain & refill job on the Odyssey
.
Heres my take on transmission fluid...Trans fluid is the life blood of your transmission. A quality trans fluid is more important to your trans than a quality oil is to your engine. As heat in the trans goes up, the life of the fluid (and your trans) goes down. Sadly most people ignore the transmission until it breaks.
Hope this answers your question...

Problem with AC

The condensate from the A/C is dripping on the floor. It's supposed to drip into a pan, with an attached hose, and run outside on the ground. The hose is probably clogged. You can see the hose if you look under the vehicle in that general area. It may just have dirt in the end of it.

Transmission fliud

To check the trans fluid you have to have car on a lift or over a pit (like at oil change place) so it is level.

On the lower pass. side of trans. right near the rt. front drive axle there is a small plug (takes 7/16" wrench) Pull plug and fuild should run out W/ engine hot and running.

If you need to add there is a red cap on the driver side top of the trans right at the back of the engine. Unscrew cap and fill thru small hole.
