On a right hand drive car, I would be looking under the right side of the steering wheel. It is a classic British car, so you must call the 'hood', the 'bonnet'. The button is a knob on a stalk
I would start with all the fuses. Yes this seems like a simple and pointless thing to do but I have a 2002 S type Jaguar and my issue was a fuse in the trunk panel I did not even know existed. You should have 3 fuse boxes. Check all the fuel related fuses first then you can go from there. Also if you have replaced a fuel pump recently pull it out and set it back in the fuel tank. It may not be put in correctly therefore blocking the sock on the pump and not being able to pull fuel. your fuel pump will only fit perfectly only one way. These are simple fixes but most the time that is what it is
The car takes 5w-30 semi synthetic oil. However, if you have never put synthetic oil in the car I would recommend using regular oil. I would also advise you check with your local jaguar dealer. The reason for this is if your car is not use to that kind of oil from day one it could cause seal leaks.
The fuel pump is bad you will need new. You may be able to obtain an in line check valve and install in fuel line between pump and carb so gas can';t drain back when sits.
Check the igniter module. I assume you have a ecu code telling you #3 coil is missfiring ? If so also check the crankshaft angle sensor . If it is not an error code do a compression test and check the injector. Hope this helps Regards George
