Sonota key won't tun car competly off but will come out of ignition

One way is to cut key sense wire coming out of ignition.it is a wire that send a signal to car computer when key is in ignition. Another way is check driver door pin switch to be sure it is not broken .

please RUN the scanner/computer for easy diagnostic and fix it. SEe the diagram attached. The electronic vehicle now is very complicated. You can have somer wrong PCM+BCM+ignition coil+sensor+distributor, etc

Sounds like you need a new ignition. If its really stuck you will have to get a replacement key and a new ignition. Usually not to expensive and any competant shop can swap it for you. You also might want to check the neutral safety switch. That is the only switch that has to do with your drive park position.

the key might be woren or one of the tumblers has broken, might need a new key cyclinder

A lot of times you need to rotate the steering wheel a little while trying to turn the key to release the lock. This should then allow you to turn the key in the ignition. Hope this helps.

Try turning the steering wheel to one side a little when turning the ignition. The locking mechanism for the key tumbler will not turn if there is eccessive force on it. This can happen if you hit a curb while parking and turning off the car, or if the wheels are turned when shutting of the vehicle. My daughter had the same problem after parking and had to call me to ask me what to do. If that doesn't work there is something wrong with the key tumbler locking mechanism.
