07 BMW X5. My instrument cluster was working just fine until the other day. I checked fuse 131 and it was blown. Attempted to change it with another 5a fuse but it blew when I put it in. Any Help ?

SOURCE: I have a 2004 sebring

If the fuses are good there should be a dial that adjusts the brightness of the dash panel. If this dial doesn't work then the bulbs for the dash panel might be blown out.

Filled up my BMW X5 with engine running and the fuel gauge won't reset, still shows 17 miles to empty with the low fuel light on

Try checking out your fuse diagram and search for the instrument cluster fuses to make sure they haven't blown, while it could also be something with the sending unit such as the fuel pump or the fuel float. One way to test a bad fuel pump is to insert your key into the ignition and turn it over to only allow the gauge cluster to enlight. If done correctly you should hear a sound come from the rear of the vehicle. That sound comes from the fuel pump meaning that its priming and ready to begin working when the vehicle is turned over.

My bmw x5 4.4 suv keeps blowing instrument cluster. Fitted new alternator but reluctant to fit replacemnt cluster until voltage to cluster checked, how can I do this Driving me mad

Need a little more info,
When your cluster dies, is it everything?
All back lighting? or just the icons don't light anymore?
How about outside lights? tail, brake, marker, head lights, are any of those out when the fuse blows?
Does the fuse blow right away or is it a slow few minutes to hours or days?

I did some checking on BMW X5, seems that this particular vehicle has major problems with everything, so this may take some time to get straightened out.

I replaced my instrument cluster with a used cluster (BMW X5, 03') the brake lights are all on now. How do I match the new cluster with my X5?

The lights are all on because of a loss of power. If you test drive the car, once you reach 15 mph, the lights should reset. Matching the cluster will set the odometer to the CPU odometer (actual miles).

2008 bmw x5 code error u112b

not sure on X5 but on 5 series it meant -
U112B - No message from instrument cluster, could instrument cluster fuse. Could try disconnecting and reconnecting battery to see if that clears it. (Make sure you have radio code before disconnecting)

Instrument panel went dead

Checked Every fuse in the fuse box (no small task). This includes #4 - Power point Instrument Panel, #14 - Day time running lamps (auto lamps doesn't work nor does auto lock), #27 - ignition switch run feed, #35 - Instrument Cluster, #41 - Instrument Cluster, #42 - Delayed Accessory, #45 - Ignition switch run/start feed, #102 - Door locks body security module, #103 - Ignition switch, #110 - Ignition switch, & #116 - Ignition switch. But I also check all other ones as well, they all register OK. AC panel & radio work. Turn signals work. Mileage does not work, trip computer does. So, basically, everything works except auto head-lights, auto locks, and the dash cluster (no MPH, RPM, mileage display, Fuel, Temp, Tran Temp, and Oil Pressure).

How do you turn off BMW X5 tire pressure light once the tires have been inflated

On some X5's you can do it through the instrument cluster whereas other through the button on the centre console depending on the spec.

On the centre console you'll find the tpc button. It looks like a flat tyre with an exclamation. With the ignition turned off, press and hold this button and turn on the ignition to position 2. You'll notice on the instrument cluster the light go red, yellow, off and then come back on yellow. When the light comes back on yellow release the button and wait with the ignition on until the yellow tpc button goes out. Thats it.

If this hasnt worked you have a different spec and therefore a different way of doing it! Let me know and il guide you through it.

Hope this helps!
