SOURCE: how can you test the spark plug coils, what is the
Dear Pablo,
You can check the input voltage at each coil. This way you make sure you have the proper amount to operate. Disconnect the six ignition coil connections. Turn the ignition key on. Check the voltage at Cyl #1 B/Y wire, Cyl#2 B/U wire,Cyl #3 B/O, Cyl#4 B/G, Cyl#5 B/R, Cyl#6 B/W and ground. It should be 10.5V or higher. If not,you need to find the cause of the voltage drop.
If ok, you can test the resistance of each coil. At the coil,measure the resistance across the primary windings.It should measure between 0.50 Ohms ans 1.00 Ohms.
I hope this information is helpful.If you need anything else,don't hesitate to ask. Thanks,Chuck.

SOURCE: How do you determine if an ignition coil is bad on
You can get the codes read and this will often point you in the right direction, then if required you can disconnect the coils one at a time on idle and see what effect it has on the idle speed of the car. Or if you have a multi meter set it on ohms and read the values of the coils and look for an odd reading. Hope this helps - good luck.

this code is saying you have a failing ignition coil..You will have to swap them and determine which one is failing...here is the procedure..
DTC P0354; RANDOM MISFIRE DETECTED, MISFIRE DETECTED, (CYLINDERS 1-8) IGNITION COIL PRIMARY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION, (CYLINDERS 1-8)
G290076t1 : CHECK COIL FUNCTION BY SUBSTITUTION
-
Does the same DTC reoccur? The DTC will indicate if the same cylinder is misfiring.
-> Yes
INSTALL a new coil. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
G290076t2 : CHECK THE IGNITION COIL SUPPLY VOLTAGE CIRCUIT
-
Is the resistance greater than 5 ohms?
-> Yes
REPAIR the high resistance circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
Hi Kenny, The fuel pressure is on the low side. I would also check the crank and cam pickup sensors. Another point of interest should be the temperature sender unit that sends to the computer. I would suspect the igniter before the ignition coil. regards John

many things will cause no start problems could have faulty ignition switch.use test light see if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.code scan for faulty theft security system which will also cause no start conditions.
