I think the Chrysler method for obd-1 was Cycle key from on to off for ...was it three times...maybe five. but you go on, off, on, off, on, off, on and leave key in on (with engine off) and count the flashes from the dash mil light. They are only, of course, two digit codes. So like, code 24 would be two long flashes, and pause, then four short flashes. There aren't too many codes, maybe about three dozen. You can google "obd 1 codes, Chrysler" and find plenty of information on codes and descriptions.

My first instinct tells me timing chain or belt, but it could be a vacuum line loose, cracked or disconnected. Using a stethoscope, or a length of gasline hose held to your ear, and with the engine running, listen for a hissing sound. Be sure and wiggle all the hoses you can. You might make one hiss. If you don't find anything, get a timing light, and check your timing marks. They should stay in basically one spot. If it's jumping around a lot, you need a new timing chain or belt. Good luck.
SOURCE: where is the fuel pump located on a 73 Duster 318
Should be located on the block, passenger side, down low, and more at the front of the vehichle. It is a mechanical pump and bolted to the block with either 2 or 3 bolts, should have 2 or 3 steel lines cominng out of it.
SOURCE: how do i read the trouble code on a 94 passport
This is not possible without an error code reader
Unless you have check engine or service engine light
Then you can hotwire the port for connecting scanner
and it will flash the code to you using the check engine light on dash
But its quicker to use a reader.
Different car models you can get to flash codes to you contact you car dealer to enquire about it.
SOURCE: how do I manually retrieve a trouble code without scan tool for a 1997 Plymouth Voyager
Try this
Turn the key on ( don not try to start), turn the key off, turn the key on, turn the key off, turn the key on and leave it on.
If the check engine light starts to flash start counting the number of flashes. Those will be the codes.
For about $50 you can by a code reader which will give you OBDII codes which may make it easier to figure out the problem.
Post the codes and we'll see what we can figure out.
