The cluster panel what side is the check engine light on 2001 Nissan frontier Exie

when you turn on your ignition to the point before engaging the starter all your warning lights should light up. The Engine Check Light is very obvious, except they throw convention to the wind and show it as 'Service Engine Soon' lamp 'Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)'.
Page 63 - Section 2-7 Instruments and controls

Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) If this indicator lamp comes on steady or blinks while the engine is running, it may indicate a potential emission control malfunction. The malfunction indicator lamp may also come on steady if the fuel filler cap is loose or missing, or if the vehicle runs out of fuel. Check to make sure the fuel filler cap is installed and closed tightly, and that the vehicle has at least three gallons of fuel in the fuel tank. After a few driving trips, the lamp should turn off if no other potential emission control system malfunction exists.

Mite be a good idea to have the vehicle check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes if the grounds are good !
This vehicle is equipped with a computer system capable of performing multiple engine and body control functions. Vehicle components such as windows, locks, mirrors, etc. are controlled directly by their system control module. Each system control module communicates with other system control modules on a serial data circuit. The vehicle system control modules are all attached to the serial data circuit that provides the data link communications. This data link, or serial data circuit, provides 2-way communication between various engine and body control system control modules.

Headlight warning buzzer not working on 2006 toyota celica

instructions:
  • 1 Turn the ignition key to the "II" position.

  • 2 Check the lights on the dash. You should see a variety of dash lights light up. One of those lights will be a "Check engine" light. This light should stay lit with the ignition key in the "II" position. The rest of the lights should go out. If the "Check engine" light begins to blink, you may have a problem with one of the vehicle's electronic components. Consult your owner's manual or call your dealership for possible servicing issues.
  • 3 Start the engine. The "check engine" light should go out after a few seconds. If it does not, this can indicate either a maintenance interval has been reached or a more serious problem with the vehicle's emissions control system. Again, it is advised to consult your owner's manual or call the dealership for service.
  • 4 Check for an illuminated "SRS" light on the dash. The SRS light indicates a problem with the supplemental restraint system, i.e., the airbag, on the Camry. This needs to be serviced by a professional mechanic.
  • 5 Check for an oil light on the dash. The oil light is in the shape of a small oil canister. When this lights up, it indicates low oil pressure. Low oil pressure is caused by a blockage in the system, a weak oil pickup or oil pump, or low oil levels in the engine. Check and see if your Camry is overdue for an oil change. It is recommended that the oil be changed at 5,000 miles or every six months.
  • 6 Check for the low fuel warning. The fuel light on the Camry is on the fuel gauge near the "E" on the gauge face. The low fuel light means that you have to refuel your vehicle.
  • 7 Check for the seat belt warning light. The seat belt warning light is a picture of a figure wearing a seat belt. If your seat belt is unbuckled, then this light will illuminate (along with a warning chime) indicating that you should buckle up.
  • 8 Check for an orange car with lights on (on the dash lights). This warning light indicates that one or both of your brake lights has failed, or the electrical resistance in the bulb filament indicates that it is about to fail and will need service soon.

    2007 Hyundai Entourage codes P2187, PP0174,P2189,P2195,P2270,P2272

    I've come across these codes before. In almost every case there was an air leak in the intake air hose (hose between the engine air filter & the throttle body). Inspect this hose & tubes attached to it. This is especially true when the lean code includes the comment 'at idle'
    P2187 - System too lean at idle Bank 1
    P0174 - System too lean Bank 2
    P2189 - System too lean at idle Bank 2
    P2195 = HO2S Signal Biased/Stuck Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
    P2270 = HO2S Signal Stuck Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
    P2272 = HO2S Signal Stuck Lean (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

    P2187 & P2189 = In order to provide the best possible combination of drivability, fuel economy and emission control, the PCM uses a closed loop air/fuel metering system. The PCM monitors the HO2S signal voltage and adjusts fuel delivery based in closed loop fuel control. Changes in fuel delivery will be indicated by the long-term and the short-term fuel trim values. The ideal fuel trim value is around 0%. The PCM will add fuel when the HO2S signal is indicating a lean condition. Additional fuel is indicated by fuel trim values that are above 0%. The PCM will reduce fuel when the HO2S signal is indicating a rich condition. Reduction in fuel is indicated by fuel trim values that are below 0%. The DTC relevant to fuel trim will be set when the amount reaches excessive levels because of a lean or rich condition

    I have a 99 town car and the engine light came on and a code came up po460 what is this code can u help

    P0460 Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit Malfunction, ford posted this service tip for all 97 to 05 ford vehicles - INTERMITTENT MIL ON WITH DTC P0460 - SERVICE TIP
    SOME 1997-2005 VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT AN INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) ON WITH DTC P0460 (FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION). THIS CONDITION MAY BE CAUSED BY AN IMPROPERLY INSTALLED REMOTE START SYSTEM, AFFECTING THE FLUID LEVEL INPUT (FLI) INFORMATION TO THE PCM. THE CONDITION MAY BE DIFFICULT TO DUPLICATE. TO SERVICE, CHECK FOR AN IMPROPERLY INSTALLED FORD OR AFTERMARKET REMOTE STARTER SYSTEM. THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OR HEC MUST HAVE POWER TO ALL 'HOT IN RUN' CIRCUITS FOR THE FUEL GAUGE CIRCUIT TO PROPERLY RELAY FLI INFORMATION TO THE PCM (EITHER BY NETWORK COMMUNICATION OR A DIRECT HARDWIRE CIRCUIT
    another I have seen addresses the fuel problem just says the tank got over filled, the gas cap is bad, and that the system is clogged due to a poor grade of fuel being used, Ford recommends a Chevron fuel cleaner additive that should improve this problem

    Car ran out of gas now keeps stalling

    you have a clog somewhere. On the fuel pump there is a "sock" to prevent **** from being sucked into fuel lines/filter. This "sock" may be blocked. It may also be in the lines to the fuel filter or the filter itself. Hard to say without seeing. There is also TSB on this car for faulty fuel gauge reading more fuel than what is in ur tank. Heres the TSB:
    2006 Mercedes Benz Cls500 Fuel System, Other Service Bulletin 260763 NHTSA: Action Number: 10016670 Service Bulletin Number: 260763

      May 01, 2009
    • Component:
      Fuel System, Other

    Summary: Mercedes: the fuel level indicated in the instrument cluster does not match the actual fill level. This may be caused by a fault in the fuel level sensor function chain: hydraulic and electrical lines and their connections, rear sam or in

    You can find all recalls at www.nhtsa.gov. I would contact Mercedes, it sounds like they may be at fault. Good luck

    No problem with engine, running normal but service engine light on with diagnosis codes 1131 and 1151. What do the codes indicate ?

    1131 is a more broad code that says you have a fuel trim issue, and lists many many possible causes. 1151 narrows down the issue and hints towards a lean-mixture picked up by your heated oxygen sensors.
    It indicated that the following should be diagnosed: Oxygen sensors Fuel injectors Harness circuits to the injectors, and oxygen sensors. Vacuum systems Powertrain Control Module.
    I hope this helps

    My 95 jeep grand cherokee limited is shutting down while driving suddenly. It looks like it happends after more than 30 min driving or when it runs in the same speed for several min. Any one have any idea...

    SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
    Symptoms may include no start, rough idle, long crank times, driveway die outs or erratic fuel pressure. A new fuel pump has been released which delivers improved performance. This pump should be used whenever fuel pump failures are encountered.
    DIAGNOSIS:
    Basic fuel system diagnostics should be used as outlined in the appropriate service manual. A brief recap of the basic diagnostics follows:
    Fuel pressure specification - 49 psi - plus or minus 5 psi.
    High fuel pressure indicates problems with the fuel pressure regulator. Refer to the service manual for regulator diagnosis. Do not replace the fuel pump for high pressure.
    Low fuel pressure - Low pressure could indicate a pump problem or it could indicate a plugged fuel filter or restricted fuel line or no fuel in the tank. Be sure to check these items before replacing the fuel pump.
    Fuel System Leak down - When checking fuel pressure be sure to check the integrity of the system after shut down. With the fuel pressure gauge connected, shut the engine off and observe the pressure gauge. The system should maintain at least 24 psi for five minutes after shut down. If the pressure bleeds off quicker, it could indicate that an injector is leaking down or that the pressure regulator is leaking. This can lead to driveablity problems and require further diagnosis.
    NOTE: IN RARE CASES WHERE MULTIPLE FUEL PUMP FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED ON THE SAME VEHICLE, A BUILD UP OF RESIDUE MAY HAVE ACCUMULATED ON THE INSIDE OF THE FUEL TANK. THE PRESENCE OF THIS RESIDUE IS NOT EASILY IDENTIFIABLE. THE RESIDUE CAN PASS THROUGH THE IN TANK FILTER AND CONTAMINATED THE PUMP ROTOR. IF MULTIPLE FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED WITH NO OBVIOUS INDICATION OF THE CAUSE, CONSIDERATION SHOULD BE MADE TO REPLACING THE FUEL TANK TO AVOID FUTURE PROBLEMS. PARTS REQUIRED:
    I would start here and look at your fuel system closely

    check the HEGO sensor (upstream) first. Check for a broken wire in the harness to the sensor. Good luck. The HEGO sensor in in the exhasut system just past the exhaust manifold.
    The downstream sensor is not so important.

    P1151 - Lack of HO2S-21 Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean A HEGO sensor indicating lean at the end of a test is trying to correct for an over-rich condition. The test fails when fuel control system no longer detects switching for a calibrated amount of time. See Possible Causes for DTC P1130

    P1130 - Lack of HO2S-11 Switch, Fuel Trim at Limit The HEGO Sensor is monitored for switching. The test fails when the HO2S fails to switch due to circuit or fuel at or exceeding a calibrated limit.
