If the ESC light is on, a trouble code is stored in the computer. Get the code read and then you'll have a starting place

You need to have the car scanned for fault codes to begin the diagnosis. Guessing what the actual cause might be in your case and just replacing parts is not a sound approach. Take it to KIA service or an independent familiar with KIA models.
It may just be an ESC sensor on the car that needs replacing due to failure or it could be something more significant. You might now get an ABS warning light as well if you don't have it already.
Your car is still perfectly driveable without the ESC in operation. It is just that you won't have the stability control assistance if you over cook it when driving the car too hard for the road surface conditions. If your drive sensibly for the road conditions experienced, and have decent tires fitted, you should not activate the ESC in any event (when it is working normally).
