Near the fire wall under the A/C line. Driver side by the middle of the engine bay
little dip stick.
behind power steering gauge...

filler plug is on the tranny under the car.
you better have a little pump to fill it.

SOURCE: '95 subaru legacy -where is my trans mission fluid dipstick?

is located in the passanger side of the engine. almost right above the universal joint that powers the tires/ it's on the BELL HOUSING if you open the hood and look close you will see a 2 inch curved handle/ it's verry small to see but if you take your time you will see it. the dipstic itself its about 4 inches long . you have to use a funnel and pour the fluid inthe dipstick hole.

SOURCE: For 2001 Forrester Subaru - Front Windshield Washer fuse

If it makes noise, it's not the fuse. Most likely the discharge nozzles are stopped up. Try blowing compressed air into them from the outside.

SOURCE: gear box oil filler plug - kia rio 2004

you have to take off the speedometer cable/wiring harness from the top of the trans and fill it from there....one 10mm bolt...very awkward spot...it might be snug, so just take a flat head screwdriver from underneath to tap it loose...

Why does only one front tire spln in snow when crossing a highway?with a subaru forrester 2009 2.5 touring AWD

the wheels that loose traction will spin and the ones that grab will move the car. some newer automatic transmission subaru's are fwd bias and will normally send more power to the front wheels to help save fuel

TRANSMISSOIN FLIUD ASTRA

some had dip stick to check and fill from which is in middle of engine and trans at front (where engine joins trans) black plastic lock over tang, engine dip stick is yellow. other model transmissions had a filler bolt hole which is in left side of gear box right next to where left drive shaft goes into gearbox even though its auto. some manual boxes had this same filler plug location and even on right side of box next to right drive shaft.

Where is the oil dipstick to measure the automatic box

There is none.
The fill plug is your measurment.(left rear corner of the transmission oil pan , on the side not bottom).
Engine running , shifter on park position , remove filler plug ,
if fluid runs out , it's full and doesn't need anymore, if not - add fluid untill it starts coming out , reinstall filler plug.

Can you tow an automatic 2003 subaru forrester by the front wheels?

The Subaru site has the following recomendation. Automatic transmission and CVT vehicles can be towed with all wheels on the ground in an emergency for very short distance (under 31 miles) and at very slow speed (under 20mph). Good luck and have a great day.

Where do is the tranny fluid filler on my '99 Legacy Outback? Please don't tell me I have to pour 9.8 qts down the dipstick tube!

yes you do but if you only removed filter and fluid in the pan it should only be around 5 quarts. also make sure you use the right dipstick located on right side of the engine because there is one on the left side for the transfer case which takes gear lube. might want to purchase a transmission funnel makes it easier.

Since you have checked fuses and relays that only leaves the blower motor resistor pack. Here is a diagram of how to replace it. I hope this corrects your concern...

  1. Remove the glove box.
  2. Disconnect the blower resistor connector.
