My 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe makes a groaning sound in the rear end when I turn a corner. It started over the winter and only did it when it was really cold but now in the summertime it does it too. My boyfriend thinks that it is the fluid that keeps the symentry in the rear end for the 4WD. Any ideas? I live in a very rural place and can't just take it to a dealership or auto mechanic.

You could take the starter out and take it to a place like autozone and they can test it for free. They even test the system I believe when the car is still running. All stores have different testing equipment.
you may have damaged the ABS sensor or wire to the sensor up front check the wire that runs from the inner finder well and make sure it connected to the ABS sensor on the spindle
If your Santa Fe has a V6 engine 2.7L , it sounds like you have an ignition break down happening. You will need to renew all the ignition wires and check the two coils also for arcing .
