Can't be done because there's no way to reconfigure the belt routing to make it run all the accessories in the right direction. Get an AC bypass pulley instead

SOURCE: bypassing air compressor in a chevy 95 g20 van

Well if you're trying to bypass the air conditioning compressor, your original serpentine belt will obviously not work as it will be too long. Installing another pulley would really be more work that it's worth and likely cost a fair amount since you'd have to have a custom bracket made, or a mount to fit in place of the compressor. Your best bet would be to have your local parts supply look up the belt for the same make, model, year and engine specs as your vehicle but without Air Conditioning. The g20 uses all the same mounting locations for other belt driven accessories regardless of the presence of an AC compressor. Therefore, the belt should fit just fine. Also, you should spot on the belt routing diagram under the hood that it shows the optional routing for a belt without AC. (It does on mine anyway) Good luck and let me know how it goes.

I doubt anyone knows that off the top of their head. You could run a string through the path you want the belt to take and measure how much string it takes. This will give you an approximate length for the belt -- most parts stores could find one close to that size.

SOURCE: I need instructions and a diagram to bypass the ac

simple trick provided you can do this by running some twine around your pulleys allowing for1-2 inches less for slack adjuster an that will pretty close.or they may have for that system without ac meaning the condenser unit.

1991 chevy k1500 350 motor ,to bypass ac pump

The correct way to do this is to replace the AC Compressor with a bypass pulley. That way the belt and the routing is the same.

Can u bypass the ac compressor on a uplander van and it still work

Call your local parts store and see if there is a "by-pass" pulley assembly available for the year make and model of vehicle. I believe that the Uplander runs the 3.4 or 3.5 liter engine and if available you will have to evacuate the A/C system and remove the A/C compressor and install the by-pass pulley assembly, it usually requires the same belt that the compressor would use so if the belt is ok, reuse belt. If not available , you could buy a used compressor and install it without recharging and it would act as a good pulley so the rest of the accessories would work with the belt back on.

Few months ago they disabled the AC and now serp belt shredded again! now they say replace compressor and hook up AC- what??? and $2000

How did they disable the ac if they didn't bypass the pully that is why the belt shredded. The compressor is probably locked up thefore unless the pully is bypassed the belts will continue to shred

How do I get a diagram for the serpinetine belt on a 2005 Chevy express 3500 van

There is a spring loaded tension pully that needs to be depressed. I believe is has a 1/2 inch square socket female end on the front of tension pully that you can use a 18" or 20" breaker-bar to get leverage to reduce the tension. Reduce the tension remove belt and just reverse the process to install new belt.

How many lbs. pressure a/c go'es into 2005 chevy uplander van

Empty with front and rear air - probably 2.5 lbs which is more than 3 cans.
There should be a sticker under the hood that says. Maybe in your owners manual too.

Belt bypass too small

yes, there could be an "a/c delte" pulley out there that would go where the compressor was. double check that you are routing the belt right. all other pullies are the same. maybe your diagram is wrong or you are misinterpreting. (it happens to everyone) if you still can't get it, you can wrap a peice of string around all the pullies, measure the string, and ask for that size belt.
