I turn the car off and can change gear easily. in reverse is harder when clutch is released it goes backward but pushing clutch back in it still goes backwards ???
This sounds like the clutch, at the engine end, has a problem. The clutch plate might not be releasing correctly. When the engine is Off the clutch isn't spinning so doesn't affect the gear change. You might need to have the clutch replaced.
Your only sensible option is to get a Good Mechanic to remove the gearbox and inspect the clutch parts.
This, unfortunately, will not be a cheap fix.
SOURCE: My Audi A4, will not
moselecm, Audi's transmissions are known for very late clutch engagement, so that part is normal - they're built that way and are not adjustable. To be sure it is really slipping due to wear and not just unfamiliarity, put the car in fifth gear at about 30mph and FLOOR the gas. If it's going to slip, that's when it will slip.
As for the fluid, it shares a reservoir with the brake fluid reservoir - take a look there at the fluid - what you see in there will be the condition that both the brakes and clutch are operating under.
SOURCE: Clutch won't engage and back wheels locked
sound like back brakes locked up burn up your clutch.
SOURCE: car moving backward while on 2 gear as i release the brakes.
not enough info..#1 is the car on a hill facing UP ? if it isn't then it's POSSIBLE that you're idle is set too low. but if the vehicle is on a hill? it's just normal

You will need a transmission rebuild.
