Vehicle needs to be hoisted up and front wheels removed and the front frame portion needs to be lowered from vehicle. But after first disconnecting steering column, a/c and other various components. Then once out and accessible to transmission, it then can be removed. Hope this helps you out in your task. Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV)

i would imagine that this is the battery clamp`and it will have to be removed ,then when battery is changed you must make sure that this is refitted correctly as in a accident this prevents the battery from moving about and shorting out causing a fire ,also for the annual vehicle mechanical inspection test it will fail if the battery is loose and not securely fitted

you can ask for a set of printed instructions from autozone. I will say for this job you will need the following size sockets. 10mm 13mm 15mm. for some things a wrench 10mm may work better.you will also need a flat head screwdriver and gloves. For the J-Strap they talk about you can just use a racheting tie-strap... careful you dont need alot of force. its just needed to hold the engine forward.
you have to carefully remove the windshield wiper assembly. fully removing it from the van. you also have to lower the windshield wiper fluid container (3x10mm bolts) and 3 bolts to the alternator..

SOURCE: how do I remove front seat headrest in a 2005 chevy uplander
Raise the headrest to its maximum height. Examine the plastic covers the headrest posts stick out of. You are looking for a slide button or a pin hole on the side of the mounting hole.
If there isn't a release button or pin hole they are under a trim cover.
With a small flat screwdriver gently lever the small round cover upwards. This should reveal the release trigger.
If there is no slide button, look for a pin hole on the side of the mount. Unfold a paper clip and insert it into the pin hole. You should hit resistance, move the headrest and paper clip around and the headrest should release and slide out.
