Do i need to replace the air bags in my 2003 Futura

That is the only sensor to trigger the bags. The new module needs to be programmed to the car by the dealer or someone with a scan tool capable of that.

disconnect battery, and remove the bolts behind the steering wheel. the airbag will be plugged into to the clocksping just unplug it.

The stored faults will need erasing with suitable diagnostic equipment then if everything is ok the light will behave normally.
