What can I say. You have bashed a delicate piece of electronic equipment, and probably broken it completely. You are going to have to take it to a repaired and get hem to look at it. If you had done this in the first place, it may have been a cheap repair, now that you have broken it, it is probably going to be more expensive. Try not to do this next time.

SOURCE: radio/cd player went dead. Tried replacing fuses

where you bought the new radio.. they should have asked if you need a Auto adapter.
So if you put this radio in a GM, you get a GM adapter
If it was a Toyota, then a Toyota Adapter
These adapter take away all the trouble of finding the right wires because they are prewired for the vehicle you want to install

Push in the connectors at the back of the radio. They could have come loose Most units have two.

The radio in my 2009 hyundai elantra works intermittently. There is no pattern to when it turns off or on, but it happens less when it is warm weather. Radio will work and then goes dead, and random

I would start by having someone who has a little electric knowledge to look for a loose wire. I would start with the ground wire. maybe it just never got tightened down right at the factory or over the years electricity can build up some erosion.

RADIO SPEAKERS STOPPED WORKING??,FUSE FOR RADIO IS FINE??

First check to see if the radio is coming on. Does the light work and can you change stations. If it appears that the radio is working visually, either your speaker plug in at the back of the radio for the speakers is loose, or you have an internal problem in the output section of the radio. However, first I would check my fuse panel & make sure that the fuse that powers the radio is good. Rick

MY FACTORY RADIO VOLUME PROBS

More than likely with a 2003, the speakers that cut out are in the door or doors. Do they cut out of both speakers?

If they cut out of one, then you may have an intermittent speaker ( the wire to the cone becomes partially connected)

If both speakers turn off at the same time and you hear NOTHING on all speakers, then you more than likely have an intermittent connection on the radio itself and probably replacement is probably cheaper than fixing the radio.

One more thing
Factory radios sometimes have an amplifier in them. Sounds funny but they call the Radio in the dash the Head Unit and the amplifier is buried in the dash. You could have a bad amplifier or a loose power connection to it, but that is very unlikely.

Hope this helps.
