SOURCE: what do 7e8 and 7ea codes refer to?
This seems to be a scanner component ID, not the OBD2 fault code.
You need to learn to use the scanner and interpret the readings (usually the scanner manual contains the meanings to these codes)
If this is not possible, you need to take the car to an independent service with Chevrolet specific scan tools or a Chevrolet dealer, for proper diagnostics.
Honestly, no idea acout Saturn Aura's error codes.
But, looks to me that those two mechanics you called are not really very efficient,
Guess you should look for a GOOD mechanical service and get your car's computer scanned by someone who really knows how to use a scanner,
That is what they call a "generic" code. Some OBD11 or OBD2, "same thing", scanners will give a $7E8 and $7EA. together and maybe a $7E9.
These are for a sub menu. Click on each one separately and you should or might get a regular "P0" code if your scanner
has the supported module. If not either get a better scanner or
go to a "big box" auto parts store and they will scan it for free and
should be able to give you more information.
Please comment or leave feedback if helpful.

How did you come up with these codes ? OBD2 codes all start with a P like P0301 , P0117 , You mite want to have an other scan tool hooked up . Get the correct DTC'S then we could advise you . Trouble Codes
