SOURCE: Volvo V70 rear seatbelt jammed

you can remove the bolt that holds the seatbelt to the floor by pulling off the seatpad where the belt goes to the floor and then raise the seat and the belt should reset. this happens on my passenger side rear seat.

SOURCE: Kia Sedona seat stuck

Got it, with the help and eyes of my wife. The rear latch releases as the seat back is lowered. This release is ALMOST seat back down (about 3 inches above the seat bottom). As the seat back lowers, apply constant lift on the rear latch, and it will release as the seat back lowers. Hard-won knowledge - I think I invented some bad words in the process.

I have 2012 ford mondeo hatch and the middle rear seatbelt is locked. We can not pull it out. Can this be fixed at home? Or does the whole seat need to be replaced or repaired at ford?

You do not fix seat belts you replace them, the chance of the seat belt retractor not functioning correctly and failing to lock the belt in a collision is just not worth saving a few bucks, wouldn't you agree?

Middle back seat: seat belt is locked up & will not release!!!

DO NOT CUT YOUR SEATBELT!!! Simply unbolt the seat from the body, unbolt the seatbelt from the body under the seat, tilt the seat forward, pull the seatbelt and part that attaches to the body between the seat cushion and backrest and release the tension. Not the easiest fix, but it only takes 30 minutes to do, and will save you a LOT of money. If you cut that seatbelt, you will be buying a new rear seat.

C320 rear seat belt stuck

Unfortunetly the only repair for that issue is to replace the complete seat belt mechanism. Basically the internal winding mechanism has gone out and will not retract the seat belt.

The only thing a Dealer will do is replace the entire seat belt so I suggest you unbolt it and buy a new one then Fit it yourself

Somehow a passenger of mine managed to get the

Check the owner's manual. There is usually a release for the headrest hidden under it. If not, you may need to remove the back seat by pulling it away from the back of the car.

Another fix if all else fails is to carefully remove the trim panel where the seat belt retractor is and then disconnect the retractor, reclaim the belt and then securely refasten it.

2003 Volkswagen Passat Center Rear Belt Locked

The fix is:
  • remove the seat bench,
  • unscrew the bolt attaching the seat belt to the body,
  • return the seat back to its upright position and make sure it latches
  • reattach the seat belt
  • replace the seat bench
To prevent this from happening again:
  • Leave the seat belt latch in its receiver when not in use.

You most likely have another fuse box either in the glove box or under the dasy. It sounds like a blown fuse.
