Yukon what ? just a plain yukon ? 2WD or 4WD XL - Denali etc...
No pulse board . controlled by the BCM - body control module . Taking the vehicle to a qualified repair would be your best bet .
Windshield Wipers
The windshield wiper/washer switch signal circuits are inputs to the body control module (BCM) and the BCM controls wiper motor low speed operation, washer pump and high speed operation. The windshield wiper/washer switch is provided a low reference from the BCM and each of the switch signal circuits is supplied 12 volts through a resistor and monitored within the BCM. During LOW or INTERMITTENT operation the wiper switch low signal circuit is closed to the low reference circuit through a series of resistors within the switch assembly and the signal circuit voltage monitored by the BCM will depend on the switch contact location to the resistor assembly. During HIGH or WASH operation the high and wash switch signal circuits are closed directly to the low reference circuit within the switch assembly and nearly all the signal circuit voltage will be dropped across the BCM resistors. The BCM controls the wiper motor through the Wiper Relay and the Wiper High Relay. During any wiper motor function that uses low speed the BCM supplies the voltage to energize the Wiper Relay and battery voltage will be supplied from the Wiper Relay through the de-energized Wiper High Relay to the wiper motor low speed control circuit. During high speed wiper motor operation the Wiper Relay is energized as in low speed and the BCM provides a ground to energize the Wiper High Relay and the battery voltage is supplied to the wiper motor high speed control circuit. Wiper motor park operation is controlled by the BCM using an input from the park switch within the wiper motor assembly. The BCM supplies the park switch signal circuit 12 volts through a resistor then monitors the circuit. Whenever the wiper motor is out of the park position the park switch signal circuit is closed to ground and nearly all the signal circuit voltage will be dropped across the BCM resistor. When the wiper switch is turned to the OFF position while the wiper motor is somewhere in mid-cycle, the BCM will continue to operate the motor until the wipers reach the park position. If the ignition is turned OFF while the wipers are in mid-cycle, the wipers will stop immediately where they are and the BCM will park the wipers the next time the ignition is cycled ON.

Did no the know that 2wd or 4wd would make a difference or that an SL, SLT, or Denali would either. What effect would either of these differences have on how a wiper works. I have a 4wd SLT by the way.

It may not make a difference , but the factory service info system askes these questions .

SOURCE: wiper problem

Are you sure that it is the board?? I have a 1995 c1500 and it was doing same thing. Its mounted on rubber gromets and developed a bad ground. Take a wire with two big clips on both ends of it and clip one to the wiper motor. And other on the motor, on a bolt or something.

SOURCE: wiper motor pulse board location

Wiper pulse board is on the motor assy, is it not working or are they stuck up on the windshield. If they are stuck up like some of the gm's do its a little tab that sticks up on the plate you can see it usually a small tap back inwards makes it function properly again so it makes contact on the transmission to lay back down.

SOURCE: Intermittant dead battery problem since

A technician will need to a parasitic drain test on the electrical system to determine where the battery drain is taking place. Sometimes the glovebox or vanity mirror lamps don't shut off and drain the battery.

I notice all the boards you find on the web anymore are the somewhat rounded ones with a square plug. If it is the rectangular one you need with a flat 4 wire plug and one screw through the center holds the cover on, then you can search for this AC Delco part number 22039316 (my cost was $94.00). I think since the wipers don't have a park position like the cars with hidden wipers then this may be the same board.
I just went through this because I installed a later (90-93ish) S10 pulse wiper in a 84 S10 (factory pulse for the 84 had a knob on a module under the headlight switch)
The board I got is a genuine AC Delco board as well.

The dealer should be able to get these parts. I did not go through the dealer. I went to the shop where my brother works and they got it through a wholesale supplier of factory parts. This supplier supplys parts to the dealers around here as well.

You may also try Rockauto.com as well. I forget if they had the right board. But if they do, search the web for Rock Auto Discount codes and you can save some bucks.

1999 gmc sierra wipers will only run on high. Any idea why?

The wiper motor control module needs replacing. On some models you can replace the "pulse board". On some you must replace the wiper control module which mounts directly to the windshield wiper motor. This is a very common GM problem.

99 Yukon windshield wipers sometimes won t turn on and other time stop after working

We had the same problem and sometimes they wouldn't turn off. The intermittent wipers were random. We replaced the wiper motor. Be sure to get the motor with two balls on the wiper shaft (one for each wiper arm). If you can't find it, you'll have to change the part out on the new motor. Keep the wiper arms in the same location on removal, or it will jam and you'll have to start over.
