SOURCE: Car won't start. Makes a sizziling or "zzzz" noise when key is turned on.

Had car checked again at dealership. They stated they checked the charging system and battery would not hold a charge. Found a bad cell in the battery. The alternator was working fine. Battery replaced. Car has been starting fine since battery replaced.

SOURCE: Intermittent Starting Problem

You have to determine if the problem is loss of fuel press or a los of ignition spark when the no start occurs, I suspect the fuel pump.

SOURCE: Car dies while driving, now it won't start sometimes

Could be a fuel pump that is going bad. Some times when fuel pumps go bad they cavitate and pump not just gas but also air. If you get too much air in the line and not enough gas the car won't start. Have a mechanic check your fuel line pressure.
