What does 7e8 & 7e9 Engine code on my 2009 VW passat 2.0

I got same problem now. Did you find a Solution or figure out why transmission will not engage after being towed. Same engine works great just won't shift in to gear and go.

I would trust them but make sure it is just not in need of some kind of cleaning.

SOURCE: I have a 2008 VW Passat. When the engine light came on I stopped at Autozone and they gave me the following codes: P0089, P0642, P2004. Anyone know what they mean?

replace your fuel filter first. If that does not do it, then try an air-flow meter. (if the check engine light is on it may be an airflow meter.

Remove the black plastic cover that covers your engine. Up front below you will see the code
