SOURCE: 2004 Cavalier Day/dim lights not working

I finally got mine fixed!! It was the crossover wires between headlights(the wires that run in front of the radiator). One wire was torn into. Spliced them and taped back together. Hope this works for you!! I also used something called wire caps that help hold the spliced wires together. I found this solution on yahoo.com search engine where someone else had suggested this. My only problem was no dim lights, but all the other lights worked fine.

1. Unplug electrical connector from headlight assembly by squeezing both sides and pulling.

4. Insert new halogen bulbs, be careful not to touch the bulb glass.

Then, do it all back up!

04 Nissan maxima tail lghts don't always come on right away thought maybe headlight switch not sure need help

Download 2004 Nissan Maxima Lighting System Section LT PDF Manual 190 Pages Do you know how to do electrical testing with volt ohm meter ? Do you know what a BCM is ? COMPUTER !
Control of the parking, license plate, and tail lamp operation is dependent upon the position of the lighting switch (combination switch). When the lighting switch is placed in the 1ST position, the BCM (body control module) receives input signal requesting the parking, license plate, side marker and tail lamps to illuminate. This input signal is communicated to the IPDM E/R (intelligent power distribution module engine room) across the CAN communication lines. The CPU (central processing unit) of the IPDM E/R controls the tail lamp relay coil. This relay, when energized, directs power to the parking, license plate, rear side marker and tail lamps, which then illuminate.

Whin turning lights on they dont work replaced headlight switch still want come on

Check out the fuse/relay. Do not think they are getting power since the likelihood of two bulbs burning out at same time is nil.

2004 Maxima, front, rear running lights, dash dimmer don't work. Lamps and fuses are good. Possible cause(s)?

All lighting fuses and relays are in a plastic box under the hood close to the battery on top of the inner fender well. Do not mess with the computer, it has nothing to do with the lights. check every fuse in the box under the hood.

My 2004 maxima rear lights dont work but brake lights do can it be a fuse or the bulb

Could be either one. I'd start by checking the fuse, and if it is okay then checking the bulb. Both sides could have the bulb go out at the same time, but it is more likely the fuse, and the brake lights work off a different circuit. Hope this helps. Good luck :O)

2000 Nissan Maxima. Headlights work but tail lights won't come on. How do you fix the wiring of this?I have changed the bulbs and nothing. The brake, reverse, and turn signal lights work, so the bulbs...

tail lights work on a different filament than the rest of the lights you mentioned, it is possible both bulbs are burned out for that filament. if not, check the fuses as the tail light circuit in some cars is on a seperate fuse. the remaining possibility could be bad socket contacts.
