Cut the wires in back for brake lights, fuel pump, etc.

I bought this car for a derby car and i cut the wires in the back for the brake lights etc. and the fuel pump wires were in there..well the car died and we havnt been able to fire it up since and it acts as though the fuel injectors arent working because i wired up the gas tank direct to the battery. were getting fuel, spark and the car just rolls over how do i fix it to where my car will run?

I am running a toyota solara in a derby, is there one of those fuel shut offs, if so where so i can disable it

There is probably an inertia type fuel cut off though in the early days of fuel injection a relay was used incorporating electronics monitoring the current drawn by the fuel pump. If a fuel line ruptured the current would fall and the relay would cut off the power to the pump.

The inertia type switch was sometimes sited in the rear luggage space and sometimes in the engine compartment but often behind a footwell kick panel.

If you are going to bypass the fuel safety system it should be replaced by a manual switch and a deadman system - the amount of fuel an unfettered healthy pump can shift is many litres per minute with a huge potential for fire in the case of a collision.

1997 mercedes benz e320 ets light is on and car keep cutting off

ETS is your electronic traction control system... that would not make the car cut off. Check battery voltage, alternator output voltage (autozone can do this for you) and fuel pressure (cutting off may be a bad fuel pump / filter )

Vauxhall Astra 1.8 Sri turns over not starting brake lights jammed on coil pack seems ok no fault codes in system

Ok may be more than one fault here
Firstly the brake lights may be down to a fulty brake light switch
this is under the brake pedal.
Secondly the Starting issue could be several things
Fuel cut off switch engaged
Faulty spark plugs
Sticking/faulty starter motor
Fuel filter blocked (common reason for non starting and doesent give a fault code).
Fuel pump faulty or faulty/loose wiring at pump
Unlikley to be anything to do with the ecu as it turns over and no fault codes.

I think you are on the right track. It sounds like you have a fuel flow problem and those are the two items that immediately come to mind. I would start with the filter and then move on to the fuel pump if there is no change.

My 1997 k1500 5.0 keeps blowing the fuse for the fuel pump, the pump was put in about 6 months . i track a grey wire from the fuel pump RELAY through the back but don't know to what it gose to,i cut the...

that gray wire is the fuel pump power supply . You cut the wire were an positive tested it ??? An what does that mean . you positive tested it ? Wish you people would learn to talk like a mechanic would ! If you cut the wire near the relay an checked with a ohm meter or a test light with B+ volt , of couse it going to show ground ! It's going through the fuel pump windings to ground on the other side . What fuse keeps blowing ?ECM B - 20 amp ? This powers the fuel pump as well . May not even be the fuel pump circuit blowing the fuse . You need to find everything that fuse powers and isolate the different circuits . Videos on youtube showing how to find a short .

I have a 1987 2 wheel drive suburban 5.7 v8 and I just stopped a signal light and it died. I put it in park it started right away and when I depressed the brake and tried to engage it to drive it died...

No. It is either a fuel or ignition problem. Check for spark, and then fuel. Your filter could be plugged, or fuel pump may have given out. I assume it's fule injected? You should be able to hear the pump cut in for a couple of seconds. If it's carburated , just take the breather off, and pump the gas a couple of times. You should see gas squirting in the carb.
If there's no spark, check wires, distributor, etc.

Think i cut the wrong wire it wont start

you cut the wires to the fuel pump go to autozone website and look at the repair manuals and then you will have a choice of wire diagrams that can tell you what color wire goes to what. but if you have the wire sticking out where you cut them put **** connectors on the wires and you should be able to get the pump going again. i would also say you may have blown the fuse for the fuel so if its does not start humming when you turn the key and you should hear something check the fuse.
