Steps to change a valve cover gaket on a 1992 ford ranger

its not very hard at all. once you get the heads off just make sure you follow the proper sequence to tighten the bolts. always remember to tighten from the center bolts out to the end bolts so the heads seat flat and even. and make sure you have the proper torque specs for those head bolts. 1) hand tighten. 2) torque to half of the OEM spec. 3) full torque spec. all of this takes a while to do so be patient.

I need the torque specs for my valve covers on my 1990 bronco 2 v-6

No torque specs. Don't use sealer, that can cause the gasket to slip. Put cover in place, start all bolts, loosely snug all, hand tighten from bottom two, top two, bottom ends, top ends. Warm up motor and re-tighten (good hand snug) do not over tighten.

I need torque specs on a 1997 ford ranger 2.3leter. and bolting pattern

I'm assuming you mean for the cylinder head. This tightening sequence starts in the centre, top to to bottom, and then from one side (1 bolt) than to the other side of centre another bolt. Basically you will work in an X patterm one bolt at a time after the 2 centre bolts are tightened. Keep in mind that new head bolts MUST be used. These are called "torque to yield" bolts and permantly stretch during initial install. So, 1. 51 ft lbs and 2. 90-100 degrees. I've done this a long time and basically if you do not have a degree adapter for your torque wrench, it works out to be about 70 ft lbs. Let me know if you need anything else.
