2004 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi has 4 oxygen sensors. Each bank has an upstream that's the newer style that controls more of the fuel trim than the previous type. The other 2 downstream sensors are for reading the after-cat A/F ratio and determining catalytic efficiency as well.

SOURCE: 2004 Durango 5.7 timing gear alignment

  1. If tensioner assembly is being replaced, install tensioner and mounting bolts. Torque bolts to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) .
  2. Retract tensioner if required. CAUTION: The camshaft pin and the slot in the cam sprocket must be clocked at 12:00. The crankshaft keyway must be clocked at 2:00. The crankshaft sprocket must be installed so that the dots and or paint marking is at 6:00.
  3. Place both camshaft sprocket and crankshaft sprocket on the bench with timing marks on exact imaginary center line through both camshaft and crankshaft bores.
CAUTION: The timing chain must be installed with the single plated link aligned with the dot and or paint marking on the camshaft sprocket. The crankshaft sprocket is aligned with the dot and or paint marking on the sprocket between two plated timing chain links.

SOURCE: location of oxygen sensor

I believe you may have three (3) O2 sensor, (2) of the sensor is on ether side of the exhaust down pipe and some times called up stream O2 sensor, the third O2 sensor know to some as the down stream O2 and is after the Catalytic converter.
The up stream O2 monitors the left and right side banks and sends signals to the ECM to make the adjustments to the injectors to keep the proper air/fuel ratio.
The down stream O2 monitors the catalytic converter and sends signal to the ECM if the catalytic converter has gone bad.
Good luck and hope this helps. If you get it scanned at Auto Zone, they should be able to let you know which O2 has gone bad so as to not change all three. You could always check the wire harness to the down stream O2 for corrosion. Keep me posted

SOURCE: location of oxygen sensor for 2000 dodge durango

There are 2. One is located above the catalytic converter most likely near the exhaust manifold where it attaches to the head. the second and most common one I have found to go bad is the down flow sensor located after the catalytic converter before the muffler on the underside.

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango 2 wheel drive limited edition 5.7 Hemi and have an AC problem Rear air works ICE cold front WILL NOT blow Had been working intermittently and has now stop working COMPLETELY...

2004? moderno ? could be anything here ,i think you may have a gas problem here ,not enough gas ,twin AC units hold around a kilo of gas singles around the 500/600 grms you would need a machine to drain gas then measure weight and refill to eliminate the problem .if gas ok then the flute valve which later systems use inside the high pressure pipe .earlier AC had a big bulky block/valve assembly .look if not sure ask a local garage to have a look .This is not a DIY home mechanics thing .that R134A gas is very dangerous so dont play

What is the firing order for a 2004 dodge durango

The firing order is a sequence of ignition time when the engine cylinders deliver their power-strokes starting with the number-one cylinder. If this sequence is faulty or arranged disorderly, the engine may not start at all, and if it does start, it may does so hesitatingly, or not run enough well to enable it to drive-or simply lacks the power to move. A waste of gas, and unecessary tear and wear on the engine and its critical components ultimately result. Once the firing oder is correc and in proper sequence, the engine should starts easily and promtly, running as quietly as posiible.

For Dodge 2004 Durango firing-order:
All 6-cylinder K 3.7L MFI SOHC distributorless ignition:
1-6-5-4-3-2 (front 2-4-6) (back 1-3-5)

All 8-cylinder N 4.7L SFI (including HEMI 4-WD)
1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 (front 2.4.6.8) (back 1.3.5.7)
(distributorless ignition)
It is also a good thing to try and compare the thread lenghts of the old spark-plugs being replaced with the new.

Engine oil light 2004 durango

sounds like you have a bad connection to the oil pressure sending unit or the sending unit itself is bad. look for a loose connection and if it's ok just replace the sending unit.
