How do I unlatch the left rear seat back on a 2006 Audi A4? The latch seems to be jammed.

I tried a hook to lift the locking pin, however, the mechanism will not budge.

SOURCE: stuck rear seat

Ok, I had similar problem on my Chevy Venture.
Step one: Lower the Back part of the seat down.
Step 2: Get a BIG flat head screw driver
Step 3: Use the screw driver to push down the Lever in the back of the Seat to unlatch the rear hooks. - You won't be able to do it by hand, not enough strength can be applied to get that rear lever to move.

Then, when you put it back in, make suure the front latches are open prior to putting the seats back in again. If they are locked, you have to open them (using the same screw driver) otherwise, you will have the same issue again.

GM Seat system for the vans sucks a$$. I've seen this problem too many times.

SOURCE: From rear-left side latches engaged-can't fasten

it will be a little difficult now, but you need to take a screw driver or something to pry on the left to unlatch and start over and do it the right way :)

SOURCE: The left latches for the

sound like the latch has failed and will need to be replace

however, you can try this...
with an assistant, have them push and pull on the top of the seat while you try to move the #1 lever
If you are successful then make sure you lube the latch well before locking into place again.

use a premium lube like white lithium and what ever you use AVOID 10w40 for it will not help in the long run

Who do I remove rear seat for a BMW 760li?

Most rear seats need to be unlatched from the very bottom on each side. Try sliding the driver and passenger seats fully forward. With your back against the front seat press forward toward the trunk on the bottom of the rear seat on one corner at a time near the floor and lift up. This should release the latch. To replace the seat simply slide the seat back into place with the front slightly raised upward and push the seat in toward the trunk then push down til you hear the latch catch.

My 06 malibu rear seat will not go down due to stuck switch

Push on the seat to the rear while pulling the cable release. Sounds like latch is adjusted too tight. If this works make adjustment before putting the seat back up. Open trunk & you should also be able to get to the speakers and the latch for the seat back. May require a screwdriver or something narrow & long to push on the latch arm while another person pushes & pulls the seat back to unlatch.

Audi A6 rear seat problem

The rear seat pulls out easily.  Grab the front of the seat with fingers under seat on driver side and pull up hard.  do the same on the passenger side and it will unclip.  Then you can move the seat around to get to the buckle.  Install by inserting rear end in first and lineing up the metal tabs w/ the female plastic inserts in the floor and push down hard until it snaps into place.

Kia Sedona seat stuck

Got it, with the help and eyes of my wife. The rear latch releases as the seat back is lowered. This release is ALMOST seat back down (about 3 inches above the seat bottom). As the seat back lowers, apply constant lift on the rear latch, and it will release as the seat back lowers. Hard-won knowledge - I think I invented some bad words in the process.
