In line 6 cyl. chevy block , I need to know what year an size ? 473483 is on it.

SOURCE: I need to know if 1983 full size chevy blazers had an optional big block put in them.

The Chevy 3/4 and 1 ton trucks had an opion for a 454, The  Blazer did not but I suppose it could have been special ordered with a 454.

Yes. If it has 3100 on the top of the engine then it is a 3.1. If it said 3400 then it would be a 3.4. It would be less confusing if they just put the 3.1 on there. Lol.

Short bed models have 26 gallon capacity and long bed models have 34 gallon capacity.

SOURCE: I have a misfire code on #5 cyl. in a 1998 chevy

the most likely fix is going to be a plug wire or plug. pull cyl 5 plug look closely at the insulator wear boot goes on see if you see marks look like a pencil wrote on it this is called carbon tracking and indicates the fire running down the plug and look at wire for any burn spots. you most likely just need a tune up.
