1994 Toyota Corolla Corsa Hatch. How to fit a tow bar please? Looking for help with mounting points, wiring is ok.

Much better to go to a place like Hitch City and have them fix it. When you buy the tow bar for the vehicle, the mounting points are under the holes in the tow bar. Drill the holes, spray with bitumen underseal spray, add washers and bolts. Find someway to mark dead centre of the vehicle as that is where the centre of the hitch has to be. I hope you aren't towing a 40 foot twin axle boat trailer and boat, or even a full size caravan / camp trailer with that little vehicle!

Hi. We have a 2018 mux. To tow a pop top do we need a Hayman reece tow bar or is the Isuzu one enough/ also do we need sway bars etc. thankyou

you should be fine with the standard genuine Isuzu tow bar. The rear of the vehicle may be down a bit when fully loaded depending on weight of pop top. weight distribution in pop top is the key. You can fit heavy duty shockers (GAS) & air bags to rear suspension if needed for light vans. They go inside the rear spring coils. The Hayman Reece & sway bars will raise the rear & take weight off of the tow ball but this has not been tested by Isuzu & warranted. Sway bar hitch does not fit on the genuine Isuzu tow bar also. The best thing would be to talk to an Isuzu Dealer such as North East Isuzu Ute at Burton, Adelaide, South Australia to work out your best needs.

I have a 2016 Jayco Melbourne. Has anyone put stabilizer bars or anti-sway bars on one?

they are fitted at all good caravan shops
The bars use a special hitch and are tensioned up onto hooks on the A frame
a definite must for caravans as they improve ride stability, reduce swaying and take the load of the rear end of the car making it level again
Take the van to a Jayco service shop or any caravan shop and have them fitted for better safety and road control
any caravanner worth his salt has them fitted

After caravan is atached to 2017 tucson awd Rear of car drops 1 inch front raises 1/2 inch measured at top of wheel arch is this acceptable

it is acceptable but you have to realize that now the headlights are point up in the air and into the eyes of oncoming drivers
to over come this problem and to improve driveability and stability, fit load lever bars to the tow hitch
they will lift up the back of the vehicle to level and that keeps the lights aligned
available from any caravan retailer and well worth the money as you will find when towing the van

We have a heavy duty tow bar so what is the towing capacity

https://www.uhaul.com/Frequentlyaskedquestions/202/Trailertowing-Rentals

How do I find my hitch system rating? Your hitch system is comprised of three components, the Hitch that is attached to the frame of your car, the Ball Mount (drawbar) and the Hitch Ball. Each component has a rating for capacity. The LOWEST rating of the three components determines the overall rating of your complete hitch system. For instance, you can have a 3500 lb hitch and ball mount, with a 2000 lb ball. Your hitch system is limited to the 2000 lbs towing capacity. https://www.uhaul.com/Articles/Tips/33/How-To-Determine-Your-Hitch-System-Rating

Can you haul a trailer with a murano?

you will have to have a tow bar fitted by a tow bar fitting shop
It is a regulation requirement that any tow bars fitted have to have a vehicle modification plate fitted by an authorized fitting agent to keep it legal on the road.

Fitting towbar electrics

Hi, I'm Peter, You do not need to access a panel to wire up the electrics for the tow bar on a 2003 Kia Sorento . I don't know if you have the tow bar yet or not but there is a bolt in model for the Sorento 4 bolts and your done it's on there too. The wiring is as simple also. Kia actually has a wiring harness that all you do is plug it into the existing plug and you have a ground wire to attach which they also have already on the car. I just got through swapping the same setup from one 2003 to another in about 20-30 minutes, I had an impact gun though for the tow bar bolts. The wiring you are looking for is located between the frame and the body of the car on the passenger side. As you lay on your back you will see it is connected to the frame with a push in connector or tie wrap I can't remember right at this moment it's 1:30 AM. Just get it loose from the frame and disconnect the plug that will continue on up towards the right rear tail light.. Take your harness ( believe me it's worth getting from the dealership) and plug it in between the other two connectors. Like I said earlier you will have a black ground wire and if you look on the car body portion you will see a bolt hole located a little past half way of the flat vertical area , that is where the ground wire goes. There may be after market harnesses just like the one the dealership has but I already had one so I know everything fits perfect and the trailer plug end will go across to the driver side of the center of the hitch where they normally are. I have to tell you it was one of the easiest setups I have ever done and I have head remarkable stories about how strong those hitches are when other vehicles run into them. The other vehicle is destroyed and the tow bar protected the KIA. If your going to do it do it right and easy. Good Luck.

I have ford transit 2006 2.4 diesel van when van towing the trailer.then van power not engof to towing

You must always make sure to have the right Towing Parts so as to be able to tow properly. Make sure the hitches are the right class and can handle the car, also you must connect the hitch carefully and correctly.
Happy towing!

Need to fit a VS tow bar to a VX

of course it can with a bit of welding and cutting ,but the official answer is no as it can only be used on the vehicle it was designed for so this new vehicle must be taken to a authorised tow bar fitting workshop and have the correct towing hitch fitted which conforms to europeon regulations ,then once its fitted the relavent paperowrk purporting to the towbar plus the tax paid reciept from the garage taken to the nearest vehicle test station and duely tested as part of a complete new yearly inspection then the paperwork is changed to show the towing bar and new certificate of inspection .Failure tom comply will render the owner liable to a big fine
