It is before the catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe, on the side of the engine with cylinder number two.

The oxygen sensor for bank 1 sensor 1 is located just behind where the exhaust pipes from the front bank of cylinders and rear bank of cylinders join up. If you look under the car from the front and follow the exhaust pipes, it is the one you can see easily. There are only two oxygen sensors on the car---the one described above is bank 1 sensor 1. The other sensor goes into the side of the catalytic converter. It is bank 1 sensor 2.

First let me say the odds of the sensor being bad are 50/50. The trouble code would tell you the sensor is not reading correctly, not necessarily that the sensor has failed.
Bank two is on the side with cylinder number 2 and sensor one is in front of the catalytic converter.

When you open hood look at engine. If belts are in front the sensor is going to be on passenger side in the exhaust manifold. If engine is sideways meaning belts are on passenger side the sensor is going to be behind the engine
