SOURCE: jeep codes location of unit

Got me a complete manual for 199 jeep factory model and found location of each individual unit in question. Manual gives u possible solution to each code and repair and or replace. As a mechanic myself testing, trouble shooting and repair was not that difficult. Shift solenoid was very difficult to get to. Located under the head lamp passenger side.

SOURCE: I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer. A scan reveals code

i had to replace mine. i went to www.rockauto.com and found them for $15 a piece. its actually really easy to do. drop the pan. at the back toward the driveshaft you will see 2 right next to each other. pop out the c clips and it should come right out. reverse those steps to put it back in.

SOURCE: What does code P0753 Shift Solenoid mean?

P0753 means your powertrain computer detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to power in the circuit to your transmission's 1-2 shift solenoid. When the code is active, your transmission runs in a fail safe/limp home mode that only lets certain gear ratios function in the transmission.

The solenoid in your application looks like this
1edc2e6.jpg and it is located sometimes on the side of the transmission, but my guess is from the looks of it, it might be found inside the transmission, only accessible with the oil pan removed.
The problem might be the solenoid itself, or the wiring going to the solenoid from the computer that controls the transmission, or the computer itself.

SOURCE: can I change the shift solenoid 1-2 (code P0753)

The shift solinoids are mounted to the valve body which is behind the side cover of the transmission. Usually you have to lower the trans to remove the side cover, which envolves lowering the subframe. If you drop the subframe the steering rack must be disconnected and the engine must be held from above because most of the motor/trans mounts are on the subframe

Chevy impala 2005 3.4 engine. I have code P0753 it says 1-2 shift solenoid. will flushing transmission fix that problem. where are the shift solenoid on that car

code p0753 refers to shift solenoid(SS) A-electrical===causes--wiring--shift solenoid--ECM/TCM
The fault is electrical as it is a solenoid ( an object that has a coil wound around a core in which a bar of steel is magnetically moved when the coil is energized This bar movement moves valves or locks bands or clutches)
Change the solenoid and check out the transmission control module(TCM).
changing the oil will be good for the transmission but will not fix the electrical fault.

Po753 in 02 chevy silverado whats the code and where is the part

Codes don't mean a certain part just that a "system" has not passed an internal self test at least three times, this testing goes on all the time while you are driving looking for errors. Here is the info on the possible causes of this transmission related code. A common cause is failure to have the transmission fluid replaced at least every 60,000 miles or sooner if driving in severe conditions like dust and heavy loads
P0753 - Shift Solenoid A Electrical.
Possible causes - Faulty shift solenoid A valve
- Shift solenoid A valve harness or connectors
- Shift solenoid "A" valve circuit is open or shorted (located in the pan attached to the valve body.)
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid

1999 Chevy Malibu, not shifting right. It will drive and go in reverse but it will not upshift (or downshift) while driving. ATF and Filter are good. Also trying to manually shift doesnt work. Got a few...

code p 0753 refers to shift solenoid (SS) A ---electrical===causes --wiring ---shift solenoid ---ECM/TCM
code p 0758 refers to Shift solenoid (SS) B -- electrical===causes -- same as for p 0753
code p 0452 refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) pressure sensor---low input===causes wiring short to ground ---EVAP pressure sensor ---ECM
code p1860 refers to TCC / PWM solenoid circuit breaker
the first 2 are solenoid problems in the transmission
the p1860 is the torque converter clutch solenoid / servo code p 0113refers to intake air temp (IAT) sensor --circuit malfunction===causes--wiring open circuit/ short to positive ---wiring short to ground ---ground wire defective --IAT sensor ---ECM
