My key wouldn't work. I had my son climb through the back seat to unbolt the assembly. Once I had the trunk open and the assembly apart, I saw that there was a little white plastic 'gate' that would not allow the key to release the lock. It may be related to the RF in my key and it just stopped allowing the trunk to be opened. It would not open from the driver's seat release either. I saw that when the little white plastic finger 'gate' would move, the key would open the lock. I realized that if that little white thing wasn't there, my key would work. Out with my wire cutter and I clipped that little thing off and now my lock works fine. Good luck.
Sounds like the linkage to the latch has come undone. What sucks about that is you usually have to take the back seat out to gain access. Once you hae the trunk back open it is somewhat easy to reattach the linkage.
Cable could be snapped or lodged for the latch the are you sure you have the right key if there not the original you may have wronge key or even a bad trunk lock and will have to replace it
Pull the back rear seatand try to get into the trunk, they usually have a tab that you pull it and can open the trunk, most likely a broken linkage

Sorry my friend, I think you won't find one....The best way is to fold back the carpet and locate the end of the broken cable, and then take a pair of pliers and pull the cable from there...
When it comes to replacing the cable it would be easier to remove the front and rear seats enabling better access to the cable....Then fold back more of the carpet.
There is usually a ten millimeter nut holding down the lever.... Remove that and then remove the trunk locking mechanism....That will mean removing two additional ten mil bolts
With those removed unhook the cable from the lock....It will have a small round ball at the cable end. This can easily be removed via the slot provided.
Tape the new cable to the end of the old one....Unhook any outer cable retaining clips you find, so the the cable cannot be caught anywhere.Refit in the cable into the trunk lock mechanism, this so that the cable cannot be pulled all the way through, if you should pull too far....gently pull the cable through
Refit the lever to the floor and then refit the trunk mechanism....The rear cushion is released by pulling upwards and fitted back by locating the retaining tongues into their slots....To remove the front seat, move all the way forward to remove the bolts at the rear of the rails and then slide it back to get the front ones removed....
Sorry I couldn't help any other way....Regards Johngee10

I don't know if yours has it or not, but on later models you can pull down the center arm rest/cup holder in the back seat. Behind that is a small panel or door that you can open that leads to the trunk area. If you reach inside the opening and to the left, there should be a pull handle to release the trunk lid.
