My electric seat adjustments on my 97 olds regency arent workin and either is the electric side mirror adjustments,what causes this and is this an easy fix?

check and test the switch ,motor relay and wire harness for damage ----pull the fuse or relay to stop draw on battery

The good news is that I just spoke with an Oldsmobile expert on the phone, and he said the Regency has a driver's side electric seat option.
All you have to do is plug it in where that original wire is supposed to go in the fuse box, and you are good to go.
The original circuit was not in the front of the fuse box, it was wired in to the back as a factory installation.
You will need to do that.
If you will find an Oldsmobile Owner's manual, it should have the location for the electric seat fuse, unless it is a circuit breaker.
Either way, hook it up like the original was to prevent a fire.

You should be fine, if there is a difference in connectors, at least you will have the ones off of your car that you can graft onto the new ones. The colors should be the same thou.

never taken one off, put one on tho. id just use an adhesive remover. or just yank it off and then clean the old adhesive off.

there is a small set screw in the base of the mirror you will need to loosen this and then slide the metal plate out.

Check on the side of the seat for a manual lever. For some reason the car companies still include a manual adjustment in addition to the electric one. If any direction works with the motor then the fuse is good.

Check that the adjustment engine is okay.
