I stalled a fuel pump on 2002 GMC Sonoma 4 cyl. She stared right upI installed a fuel pump on my 2002 GMC Sonome engine 4 cyl. It started righd not startet up. But, after driven 2 miles, stalled

It is very important to look at the four pin connector that plugs onto fuel tank sending unit the hot wire that runs the pump gets loose and burn the connector making intermittent connection they make a replacement plug for this problem also check the connections on the inside i have those fail once.

Wont start fuel spark

You can check for power at the pump relay, or jumper it to make the pump run.

wires broke under fuel filter is the water in fuel sensor.need to replace water in fuel sensor install new fuel filter pump the primer located on top fuel filter 30 times until stiff then try to start truck.the water fuel sensor got damaged became loose leak out fuel in fuel filter causing hard start problems, diesel engine wont start if air in fuel system or air filter stopped up.

You should not see any voltage after the 2-second prime until you actually start cranking the engine. If you don't see power on the grey wire when cranking, try jumpering across the fuel pump relay terminals

Fuel pump fuse out?no sound of the fuel pump when the key is on, like usual truck turns over fine, went out suddenly. fuel filters changed regularly. may be the fuel pump? 160,000 miles on the truck. help.

I also own a GMC Sierra and have personally replaced the fuel pump three times so far. A fuel pump can go without notice and I would say that yours at 160,000 miles is very likely the problem. It couldn't hurt though to spend about $15.00 to put in a new Fuel Pump Relay first...you could get lucky and have it solve your problem. Hope I helped.

2002 gmc sierra starts up runs then starts to idle rough then quits. wont restart

GMC's are notorious for fuel pump problems. Not an easy repair. You have to drop the fuel tank to replace. About an $700-800 job at the dealer.

2002 kia rio fuel pump not starting

you may have to get a new wiring harness for it or create a jumper to run to the fuse box so that it only comes on when the car is on and shuts off with the car.
