First job would be to get a code scanner hooked up that is capable of reading Ford specific codes and see if that throws any light on the problem.
It could be;
Bad fuse 2.4 in the under dash fuse board
Bad wiring
Bad parking aid module
No back-up light input to the parking aid module

SOURCE: 98 lincoln town car flashers,turn signals,brake lights don't work

check the outputs on the multi function switch (t/s switch) the brake lights and flashers all go threw this switch try to wiggle the flasher button if the lights start to work then the switch is bad to replace switch remove bottom cover by pedals if it has one bottom cover on steering colum has i beleave 4 screws that hold it on, the tilt colum lever unthreads and the cover will come off the upper colum just clips on you will have to remove the key tumbler to get it off . you need to disconnect the battery at this point and block the wheels. to get tumbler out put key in and turn to run postion there is a small silver button that pushes in with small screwdriver once its pushed in use the key to pull tumbler out the top cover will now come off you will probably have to tilt colum down and shift to 1 to get cover off there are 2 torx head screws that hold switch on plug new switch in and reconnect battery to test lights unhook battery again and reassemble please let me know how you make out

SOURCE: 2005 Lincoln Navigator. Message says to Check

Most likely the problem you are experiencing with the park assist is a fault in one of the sensors mounted in the rear bumper. I would not consider it to be a major fix, however there will be a few hours labor involved as the bumper cover needs to be removed to replace the sensors.

2003 LINCOLN TOWN CAR WONT START, HOW DO I DEACTIVATE SECURITY SYSTEM

When you turn the key to run or start is the theft light on or flashing ? Sorry but their is no deactivating , it's software programmed into the vehicle control systems . The dealer couldn't even do that with a factory scan tool . You need to see what DTC's - diagnostic trouble codes are stored , diagnose the problem and fix it .

2003 lincoln towncar low beam headlights dont work

Ford just came out (in April 2014) with an extended warranty for headlights that don't work on the Mercury Grand Marquis. It is a 15 year/250,000 mile warranty and it is called Customer Satisfaction # 14N01. They will replace the LCM (Lighting Control Module for free. Call your Ford dealer to see if they have the same kind of extended warranty program for the Lincoln Town car LCM, or call Ford Motor Company. It's worth a try.

The led panel over the rearview mirror says that the Parking Assist is disabled but I cannot enable it following the instructions in the owners manual and it doesn't reset when the ignition is turned off....

I had this situation too, exactly. Everybody told me it was probably a rear bumper sensor gone bad, but at least in my case, no such luck. It was the Park Assist Module, basically the control computer for the whole system. A new one fixed it, but was about $300.
